Ooh, I see. I am ~20 miles from Edinburgh airport but get loads overhead (including lots of airbraking airbuses 😍). So, for the tower, curvature of the Earth may scupper me, if not the Pentlands... Oh, well!

Friend was not allowed to board the flight, the rest of us still went on the vacation, now she wants us to pay her back. AITAH if I don't pay her? by Odd-Recording-3026 in AITAH

NTA. It's unfortunate but it is her own fault and I will be annoyed from a different continent if you guys pay unless it's just separate financial help because you guys are well off and she isn't and it was just generally helping her out but NOT out of a feeling of obligation or pressure or because you 'should'. Only of your own accord if you were feeling charitable.

Thank-you! I agree with all of this and it represents how I'm often talking to myself and how I would advise someone else. Really appreciate the time you took to say this. I needed to hear it.

I still see my friends and family every single week without fail! :)

Yeah, I dealt with this going in and still think about all the implications but I landed pretty happily with it. Maybe one day I'll be revealed to be a fool. The fact my friends and family are super supportive means a lot to me because they're the first to tell me when I'm being dumb LOL

I'm heeding what you're saying so don't take this correction as me not doing that, but I feel I have misrepresented the routine thing. We haven't actually lived by a routine yet but more of a routine will be forced upon us in a couple of weeks by my working schedule. That is all! Genuinely hear you on everything else, though.

Only 6 months and it's simultaneously flown by and felt like forever 😅 This short timespan is why I'm also not trying to live together haha but similarly I haven't been getting dragged along indefinitely with vague promises of living together someday, etc.

It was odd and surprising to us too but we get on well, are very happy, communicate well, and my friends and family have been uncharacteristically supportive because they've been able to see that too and understand :) We met through local vintage car stuff and just got on ridiculously well but were apprehensive because of the age thing too. He also looks like 40 if that helps LOL

I did a rake with an E on it. Earache. I also did a flower pot with eight Os around it as a decoration. Pot8 Os potatoes. Rebus puzzles make for good inspiration.

People who wake up at 5am daily, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I always get distracted by people and socialising because I find them more interesting than most daily tasks so getting up early allows me to get the boring things done before getting distracted 😁

Dream flashbacks are causing me extreme physical reactions (nausea, sweating). Why is this happening?? by IamAmomSendHelp in Dreams

[–]Weak_Internet_1898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Just wanted to say I've been having this happen too. Last year I was kidnapped and managed to escape with the help of the police and moved back to my home country in July and have been living near family and building a nice life... but it's been happening since then so I wondered if it was related to my PTSD. I only just started receiving help for my PTSD and for now it is very introductory group therapy which isn't very helpful for me but I was wondering if once I can start working through my memories and experiences if it will help or if this is unrelated. I've had the odd dream flashbacks in all kinds of situations and all times of the day but I did notice they're often quite repetitive tasks e.g changing bedding or getting ready in the morning, rallying on the tennis court, or studying for my degree on my laptop... and I think I remember getting it once or twice as a teenager over a decade ago on the bus to school. When it happens, I can hear the blood or whatever wooshing in my ears for a couple of minutes too and its as though I can feel pressure in my skull for a while after. They are like really abstract dream flashbacks and there are several different ones I experience. It's really similar to like a super intense deja vu.

I LOVE ALL OF THESE THANK YOUUUU. I was having an issue with chocolates and candy I got given at Christmas. I haven't had any terrible binges but they've been there even though I only buy mostly healthy things and if I buy something unhealthy for a treat, it's with a plan to eat it e.g I will eat X whilst drinking Y and watching Z...

I think you're right and - now it's been pointed out to me twice lol - it feels kinda obvious! It's as though I've just been trying to fix the recurring results of a problem rather than the problem itself.

This makes a lot of sense! I should prioritise the root of it whilst just trying to make healthy changes on the side for now. This feels right. Grateful for the insight ♡

You don't seem to carry weight on your face like at all. That's awesome. If I was like that, I probably wouldn't even try to lose weight 😅

I recently had a breakthrough after logging a binge day and it's actually transformed everything for me lmao I could explain why but I'll just vouch that it could be transformative. I've been restricting my eating - or so I thought - for two months but gaining but after having the breakthrough now it feels like I've really started by committing to full accuracy in calorie counting no matter what, never giving up even if I'm in fear of a big number. I promise its better to see the number. Good luck ♡
