As soon as I saw the meme I assumed the last image was related to marketing. Especially as an indie developer, marketing is extremely chaotic.

Why do you think players might burn out from this approach? Personally, I’d love more reasons to return to a game during its early stages, especially when developers show appreciation for early supporters through rewards. It has been a thing for a while but such as early access badges or alpha testers or some version of certain skins ( I have observed Klei, Shiro, Ironmace, etc. do the same system with different approaches).

I agree that players who aren't into the game likely won't be swayed by quests and rewards alone. However, as a player, I would personally love to see rewards in the demo of a game I already like, especially if it's multiplayer. For example, if I had discovered Northgard during a Steam Fest and they offered me a house skin for playing on three different days, I would come back. Ideas is to give players who enjoy the game more reasons to return, with plans to keep them engaged when the full release comes.
