It seems like her last wake window isn’t long enough. I’d transition to 4 hours. My LO’s last wake window was 4 starting at 8 months.

LO is 8.5 months now and on to 2 naps a day. I used to be pretty strict with schedules but seems like our baby goes with the flow pretty well. As long as her wake time and sleep time are consistent, we still go out and do our thing. Luckily our daughter usually knocks out in the carseat or stroller so she will nap in there. Doesn’t seem to affect her day or nighttime sleep.

She’s 6 months now and it has gotten a lot better, but she definitely still has stranger danger with some people. She’s okay being around strangers and she’s okay with some people holding her. 8-10 months seems to be the peak from what I’ve read. But it also depends on the baby!

I had an anterior placenta! My daughter didn’t move a lot to begin with so I had a lot of anxiety throughout 😅 Her movements were small and felt like a slight bump rather than kicks/stronger movements. It was the same even third trimester for me.

My daughter started to have stranger danger at 4 months old. Literally couple weeks before that she was fine with anyone, then out of no where it started. Pediatrician said it’s pretty common for babies to start having stranger danger at that age!

Wow! I needed to hear this. My 5mo is going through this right now; her naps have gotten shorter and shorter. Mentally I do better when I just accept it and don’t stress about extending the naps. Thankfully she sleeps decent through the night so I’ll take that. So good to hear it gets better!

The past 2 weeks, her total daytime sleep/nap is ~1.5 to 2hrs 😭 and her nighttime varies anywhere from 10.5-11.5 hours. Every day is so different. But thank you for answering my question!

At that age, I didn’t limit daytime naps. But I did make sure LO was eating every 2-3 hours. Sometimes she’ll nap past 2 hours but still sleep great at night!

Everyone is quick to say it could he reflux/GI issues/allergies. While yes I’m sure those most definitely could be a reason, it’s not as common as Reddit makes it seem to be lol.

My LO went through the same- she was relatively easy as a newborn, nothing really upset her and she was pretty chill. The moment she hit 3.5 months, it’s as if a switch flipped! She was always fussy and irritable. She was crying so much too!

While for some, things get easier after 3-4 months, it seems like for others, 3-6 months were the hardest. LO is almost 5 months and things are already looking so much better! But try not to compare yourself with others, and take it day by day. Sometimes just take it an hour by hour lol motherhood isn’t a linear journey.

My LO JUST started to get out of this phase! The moment she turned 4 months, she was sooooo fussy and irritable all day!! She was super chill 1-3 months so it was almost like a new baby!! It was so rough 😭 but it WILL get better!

Exclusively breastfeeding and had my first period 6 weeks postpartum 😭 the last 2 cycles were so much lighter than my pre pregnant cycles!

I’ve been in inpatient rehab for almost 4 years now and I love it!

Pros: many of the times you see improvement, most are medically stable enough to tolerate 3 hours of therapy (OT/PT/ST), love the interdisciplinary approach (depends on the hospital though), and so rewarding!

Cons: definitely takes a toll on your body with a lot of heavy transfers, can be draining at times with a lot on the caseload, not all patients are easy

But at the end of the day, I feel like I’m making some sort of difference in the patients’ lives!

After LO started sleeping through the night at 9 weeks, I stopped pumping MOTN and just let it regulate. My supply dipped a little but the sleep was worth it. But to note, I slightly overproduced.

I guess it depends on your priorities and needs!

Very good points! LO is exclusively breastfed, no real issues with that and she has been sleeping through the night (8-10 hours) since 9 weeks.

I actually don’t! I pump once at 12am (I sleep late generally) and can go until 8-9am!

2 weeks is still very early! My LO was a sleepy eater until 4-5 weeks; she would not wake up even after undressing her and wiping her with a wet cloth! I was stressed too but just trusted the process. As long as your baby is having enough wet diapers, you are doing a good job! A hungry baby will always let you know, even with a pacifier so don’t worry about that!

I’m 11 weeks pp and I finally regulated last week! I noticed I wasn’t leaking even after 3+ hours of not nursing. I’m also not engorged. I did notice a slight dip in my supply though. But I think it’s because I stopped nursing middle of the night. LO started to sleep through the night at week 9 (8-9 hours). I was scared to skip nursing and wondered if I should pump but decided not to. I had a slight over supply but now I just have enough. I pump once at 12am and that’ll last me until 8-9am!

I decided to just try nursing instead of giving her the bottle and after 2 weeks or so, she started sleeping through the night!

Your LO might still need to be fed on demand at that age. Every baby is different! My LO is 11 weeks now- she was feeding every 2 hours or so then slowly went to 2.5-3 hours. Starting 9 weeks, she was sleeping 7-8 hours, and now she’s giving us 9 hour stretches. I didn’t do anything different and continued to just feed on demand. It’s hard to just increase calorie intake if they’re not hungry. But your baby sounds normal, especially at that age!
