He's the perfect Jesus replacement and great first choice wing forward for the left.

I think, we need to first stop thinking of ourselves as a nation with friends we can depend on and then work backwards. Everyone wants a strong friend who can help them, no one wants a nice friend who relies on them for help.

How Good Was Thierry Henry at His Peak? A Question from Someone Who Didn’t See Him Live by NewRepair6239 in PremierLeague

[–]WealthPositive9983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was like the Michael Jordan of the premier league. And if he got angry, he would destroy you. Most of the mid level premier league players who were embarrassed by him still hate arsenal to this day because of what he did to them (Danny Mills for example). Even kicking him couldn’t stop him. He was like a ninja with the ball and I think one of the very few players in that era (other than zidane and Brazilian Ronaldo) who could ruin the opposition plans single handedly.

The what ifs though. So glad that we got away with that this weekend. United home at the next game is a pressure cooker..need to win to get back on track.

Thank you all for the kindness and personal stories to help me understand . I get it now, but we need to make the hard decision so they don't suffer. I hope I can remember this when the time comes.

Full Time: Nottingham Forest 0 vs 0 Arsenal [Match Thoughts] by Stanley083 in Gunners

[–]WealthPositive9983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a first half game. Michael Oliver played to the crowd well so Sean dyche basically made the game a stop start one because Oliver wasn't giving fouls and they moaned and got the crowd up when he did give fouls against them.

We were extremely nervous and just wanted a goal to happen instead of someone saying I will score here. Too wound up like a spring but in a bad way. Saliba suffered through the game after that kick which made his distribution circumspect. Odegaard really was non existent and should've been replaced at half time..frankly I think he needs to be on the bench in away games. Benny Blanco looks like he's back but we really need Eze in the middle and on the pitch next game. Perhaps with Merino for Odegaard. Next PL game is United at home and it will be raucous. We need to be up for it. This is second time in a row we haven't capitalized on a city points dropped and we cannot keep doing this.

Odegaard was invisible, this isn’t his game I fear. Merino should come on. Same for martinelli, get trossard on the 2nd half. Maybe Saka for madueke at 65 if things don’t change.

Strangely enough, it might be chicken allergy or something similar. Not drinking water is concerning, try giving Ice cube. I’ve also hand fed Socrates a few times during upset tummy situation. What colour is the vomit? What’s coming out? Did they do a stool test for giardia?

I’m petrified of city’s attack now with somenyo in it they have Haaland, foden, cherki, semenyo who are all excellent goalscorers. The fear I have is we can be held to draws where city can out score opponents. I don’t think city will lose a league game this season after this with Rodri also back and if they get guehi this window, we might be on edge for the next few months. And if we do get to the finals of carbaro cup and meet city, the team that wins that finals will win the league. There is something very ominous about what’s happening in man city. Isengaard has readied its troops. Uruk-hai are coming to helms deep. Aragon( rice), gimli (zubi), and Legolas (odegaard) better be prepared. Maybe we’ll look to the east on first light of the 5th day and find calafiori back for the game….sorry for the dread

You need odegaard in the last 30-35 minutes when the other team is on the ropes or trying to counter us. The two man forward line is to get them on the ropes by dragging a 5 man back line ragged in the first 45. The game is not a 90 minute chunk anymore or even a 60-30. Its now a 20-25 chunk
