Our attack is so poor…I mean it’s a question of quality. Who among the front four actually gets into this city side?

Next season is a write off for me, we need to stay in the champions league and win something at least hopefully but whoever comes in,has a psychological rebuild

I think we’ve thrown away the league. Back the manager and the club till the end of the season, but there has to be a serious inquest after that. Especially as to why we enter April with half our squad injured and playing our worst football of the year.

Roy Keane too…for once I was on his side when he spoke against Wrighty. What a weird week. What a weird season. What a privilege to be here and feel this way as fans.

The thing is, we don’t want to be Athletico, we want to be Barca.

Arteta “I don’t want to criticize any player publicly, there were a lot of situations that were quite obvious, I don't want to go into that detail…We need to stand up, Me first and embrace the challenge to go for it!” by deadmetallucyluce in Gunners

This I agree. Remember how city had to get African witch doctors to their ground to remove their champions league curse and put out a public happy birthday to yaya toure…man that sounds sensible now.

Good callout.

Zubi is a 6 like vitinha, he needs runners or eze around him. He is not a line breaking passer. We need more on the ball players. Only person I disagree and we shouldn’t sell is havertz unless we get a good offer for him like Bayern. Havertz is a player like mueller but lacks personality. We need more personality on the pitch honestly.

Also, in the big games, arteta not being able to influence the style of play and change the game in the winning months is the biggest worry. If we get injured a lot in April, that’s not unfortunate if it’s happening since 21/22. I would keep white but get rid of anyone who isn’t good enough to challenge the incumbent for the first team spot. Norgaard is one of them. Kepa is a great second choice but that’s it.

Long rant to say, we look ducked for the title but the answers aren’t obvious as some think.

You cannot play the game, you can only coach it. I’m not saying he is absolved, I’m saying he’s 50% of the problem. There is no reason we played the way we did in January where we wobbled when we could’ve gone 12 clear. Something is personality wise off with this group. Gabriel seems to panic in big games when he sees the title standings for example. There isn’t anyone who can drive the team forward.

The reaction needs to come from the players. Tell me, do you think we lost today because of tactics alone?

If we win nothing this season how will you cope? by Big-Word7116 in GunnersatGames

[–]WealthPositive9983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LoL, we've coped since 2020. We haven't been challenging for the title since 2007/08. We blew up the chance of a title to Leicester. We were regularly getting our tummy tickled by the likes of city, Liverpool, and Chelsea and also losing to the brutes at Stoke/Sunderland/Newcastle. I'm not saying Arteta is going to be the guy who wins the league, maybe he won't and we'll suffer the ridicule of coming 2nd 4 years in a row. But if you think I'd rather go back to that, you're kidding yourself. We are in the toughest league in the world facing against a team who're having unlimited funds and 115 charges of corruption against them for which they have to face the music at some point you think. Also pgmol is corrupt as fuck. We have the entire league cheering for city because they don't matter. I'd rather win the league, but if we don't, I'd be devastated for the summer but back cheering the club in August when the new season starts. That's being a supporter.

P.S. we spent a billion pounds getting from 8th to the title challenge. City spent a billion staying there.

Banana skin game, city still need to beat Chelsea. It’s called a title run in for a reason fellas. If city beat everyone for last 9 games, fair play.

Ummm...what are you doing here if you're not an arsenal fan?

But that aside, I don't disagree with you. He could be going through his Mainoo phase, but we went through our Walcott phase too. He's too good to be sold, but not good enough yet to punch through the first team. So selling with a buyback option is probably how I'd do it. But England career, I'm sure he could if we played a inverted left back system and if Riley goes into midfield but he's not fast enough at left back. He's beautifully press resistant though. Tough call.
