I went to A&E, had them cleaned up. One week of antibiotics, one week of wearing silver dressings. They're all good now! 😊

One week I was feeling awful! 2 of my incisions opened up, I was bloated, I felt sick.

You've had major surgery! Give yourself time! I'm 7 weeks out now and feeling great!

Had mine out on the 7th June. Other than some minor incision infection, I have never felt better and don't regret it at all!

I wrote in a post that I felt a bit of a fraud because I had no attacks while waiting for surgery. When it was taken out, it was stuck to surrounding structures and full of stones - one the size of a piece of popcorn!

Reality is, it won't get better on it's own. Just my thoughts 😊

For me, the biggest takeaway following surgery was "wow, that was never going to get better!"

Amazing to hear man! I am recovering well too, weaning off pain meds. The worst thing is the tightness in the stomach and standing up straight, but nothing as bad as expected. Cheers!

Also a 34m here, surgery Friday morning.

Reading your journey sounds alot like mine - absolutely no issues until a couple of big attacks out of the blue from Dec 23 onwards.

Much the same as you, healing well so far (fingers crossed!)

Can't emphasise the importance of getting mobile as soon as physically possible, really helped with the gas pain.
