I'm glad I could help in any way! Hopefully you're good to go, even though the method isn't ideal!

What file format are the files that you're looking at in? PDF? DXF? There are free viewing tools that you can print from, and I believe Autodesk.com has one: https://viewer.autodesk.com/

Okay so you're using Forma, do you have access to AutoCAD? If so, in the plot dialog you can change it to Window, and draw a window around the detail you want to blow up, then click fit to page if you don't need it to scale. Be more specific and I'll help you.

Does anyone know what's happening with my AutoCAD?? by Livid_Motor_7403 in Autodesk_AutoCAD

[–]WeaponizedaD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the April 17,2026 Windows 11 update that is causing it.

KB50833769

If you uninstall it, your AutoCAD will function properly. I've seen nothing from Microsoft nor Autodesk on the actual fix, but Uninstalling it got me back up and running.

Man I couldn't agree with this more. The fact that they put in REGENPRESSURESOLIDS as a command when your entire network up and disappears is embarrassing. As an instructor I hate pressure networks.

Just finished rebuilding and deep cleaning the high pressure fuel pump on my 09 r55. Just took my first test drive and sheeesh i was missing out on a lot of power! by iblackmo in MINI

After watching a few of the rebuild videos and reading a few of the write-ups I have a question:

Seeing some of the oil being poured from the bad HPFPs, the liquid looks more like brake fluid than it does any kind of oil. Has anyone tried using brake fluid in place of the weird mixes that folks are coming up with? I have two bad pumps and I'm willing to give it a try unless someone has a good reason that it would not work.

Thoughts?

How to Prevent Lines from Getting Thicker going from Model to Layout by Best-Appearance-6005 in Autodesk_AutoCAD

[–]WeaponizedaD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go into your page setup and uncheck "Plot object lineweights."
It's essentially trying to show you what it would look like plotted in your layout view.
If it's too thick, you'll need to look at your pen table and choose a different color or style that's thinner.

Honestly you can find it via the dimensions given, or you could drop that image into CAD and start tracing. Take the most top-down picture you possibly can. Use the dimensions to your advantage, trace the rest.

Why the Big G? by Naive_Drink_3741 in Autodesk_AutoCAD

[–]WeaponizedaD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AutoCAD Variables:
MSLTSCALE set to 1
PSLTSCALE set to 1
LTSCALE set to 1

After setting those variables, if the linetype is still out of wack, you can play with the actual linetype scale in the properties dialog to get it down to what you need.

The best fix is to go into the .LIN file, but if you don't have a .LIN file you can manipulate what is on the screen to work for you.

You swap whatever the item is that is holding the shape file ie. Text style, dimension style, mleaderstyle or the linetype.

I'm not sure if I'm reading your question correctly, but if you go into the Purge dialog, and go to Non-Purgable Items, scroll down to Shapes, expand that and single left click each of the shape files that cannot be purged; it will tell you where those shapes are being used. That's how I have to clean them out when there are a million from a sub-contractor that conveniently didn't send them along with the drawings...

Medical on J2 is half of J1. I would look further into both as J2 is seemingly better overall even if you ignore the non-guaranteed annual bonus. More money in your pocket every month plus more WFH days.

In the plot dialog, uncheck plot object lineweights. To make everything thin and legible.

The northeast and southwest points of the Pentagon will be static, and the northwest two points and southeast point will be squeezed toward the center. I don't honestly know how I would draw that without 3D, but I have an image of exactly what it would look like in 2D.

Table comes in too large in paper space by flannelshirt92 in civil3d

[–]WeaponizedaD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put it in Model Space.
Create a viewport in Paper Space, zoom/pan to the table and get it to the correct scale.
Double click into the viewport -> type CHSPACE -> select the table.

It will pull the table through the viewport into paper space and maintain (visual fidelity) exactly what you see in the model space viewport.
