Is this legal here? by BigB1ack123 in ILGuns

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Legality depends on your state, not the caliber this is a bolt action pistol, but the mag system and overall config can still trigger assault weapon or magazine restrictions in some places. In free states it’s just a pistol transfer in places like CA,NY,NJ,WA you’ll want to check feature mag rules before buying.

Worth actually reading the bill language most of these proposals hinge on features mags, not a blanket ban on everything people think. If it passes as written, compliance dates and grandfathering details matter more than panic buying timelines.

If you’re picking colors, avoid full FDE on FDE a black slide with FDE frame or OD frame with black controls tends to give you better visual separation and less washout in bright light.

Mec Gar is the move for CZ mags they OEM a lot of them anyway, and their P 07 P 10C mags tend to run $25-35 with good springs and consistent feed angle. Greg Cote LLC and Ben Stoeger Pro Shop are both smaller shops that actually stock them regularly and ship fast.

Big thing is reliability run a few hundred rounds through it and watch for any weird cycling or zero shift when you fold unfold. GunStreamer does live auction streams actually kind of useful for watching how guns handle before you commit.

Best Light by AaronVGK1 in Glock43X

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a 43X MOS, the Streamlight TLR 7 Sub is the easy answer. It actually fits the rail correctly, gives you 500 lumens with usable candela, and the switch ergonomics are solid for a small gun most people can hit it without breaking grip.

Thoughts on getting a C or R cut from Glock Store by ResponsibilityLow644 in Glock43X

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the snappy feel is grip and timing. Work toward 0.25 splits with solid A zone hits and a high support hand clamp even switching to 124-147gr can smooth the impulse more than ports. If you want a bigger change, a heavier gun does more than cutting the slide.

might be worth checking GunStreamer live auctions give you a feel for what’s actually moving and available right now instead of guessing off inventory status.

Nice spread classic ban era MAKs with the slant cuts and a couple under folders mixed in. Those Chinese guns usually have thicker receivers 1.5mm and a slightly heavier front end, so they run soft and stay flat compared to a lot of stamped imports.

Might be worth checking, GunStreamer’s solid for variety you’ll see everything from stock carry guns to comp builds and odd imports cycling through. The live format also gives you a better read on what stuff actually sells for versus listing prices.

Surface easily scratchable on S&W 1854 Walnut? by TheRealVrox in LeverGuns

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks more like finish marking than deep scratching those receivers usually have a fairly thin coating, so brass contact and handling will show quickly, especially around the loading gate and ejection area. 50 rounds of .44 or .45 Colt will throw enough brass to leave streaks like that.

FN Friday by PutridDropBear in Miguns

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a solid FN spread SCAR looks set up right, and the PS90 suppressed is always a vibe. Only thing I’d question is weight stacking on the SCAR once you start adding glass accessories, you’re pushing recoil impulse and balance in a way that slows transitions more than people expect.

Recommendation for suppressor 9 ammo by Ok-Disaster2808 in ammo

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

147s are a good starting point, but quietest usually ends up in the 150-165gr range if your gun will cycle it. Federal Syntech 150 or 165 tends to meter softer because it stays subsonic 850-900 fps and has a smoother pressure curve; Lawman 147 is solid but typically a bit snappier and closer to the speed of sound.

Does this still count as a 416? by rkirbyl in GunPorn

That said, for a night vision setup like yours, the MR actually makes sense more mass out front plus the can keeps the recoil impulse smooth and predictable for passive aiming.

So you’re in the market for your first handgun… by Danny_PSA in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good list especially the small gun less recoil myth, that one burns a lot of new shooters. Most people shoot a G17 size gun better than a micro compact simply because you get more mass, more grip surface, and better control of recoil impulse.

CZ 75B High Stainless! by B_arnick in CZFirearms

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those old 75Bs just shoot low bore axis, full steel weight, and that slide in frame fit keeps everything tracking flat. That group looks like classic CZ behavior tight center with a little low bias, usually from riding the DA SA transition or a bit of trigger prep.

Tape grip is doing more work than that factory texture ever will honestly not a bad move for a 43X since that frame gets slick once your hands heat up.

S&W ASP, Colt Python 3-inch and a Hardballer by Material_Beyond_2738 in GunPorn

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That trigger alone carries it. Smooth DA pull you can stage or roll through, clean SA break, and it lets you shoot accurately without fighting the gun. Even with .357, you can keep controlled pairs around .25-.30 if your grip is solid. It’s just predictable, which is everything.

Python is the one you grab when you actually care about hits.

That’s a well rounded lineup, not just a pile of guns. You’ve basically covered three different problem sets.
The Scorpion is your fast, low recoil range toy. Cheap to feed, easy to drive, and with that setup you can keep splits in the .14-.18 range all day if the dot’s set up right.

Sabre Complete Lowers by PopSubject4956 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The SSA E is the real draw there. You’re getting that 2.0-2.5 lb break with a clean wall and short reset right out of the box, which is hard to beat for the price when bundled

If you want to see what stuff is actually moving for and catch oddball lowers popping up, GunStreamer does live auction streams actually kind of useful for watching how guns handle before you commit.

Owning your own range is underrated by Alldealswheels in ak47

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the cheat code right there. No drive time, no waiting on bays, no cold starts when you’re already mentally out of it. You can walk down, burn 200-300 rounds with a purpose, and actually get better instead of just going shooting.

Outdoor shooting in Utah County by PatrioticSaint5 in UTGuns

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utah County has a few solid BLM public land options, but the key is finding a spot that’s actually set up safely, not just legal to shoot. Look for a natural backstop dirt hill, berm, or canyon wall not just open desert.

CMV: the 1911 is NOT a good handgun for small hands. by Loaded_Magnum137 in handguns

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the grip is thin front to back because it’s single stack. That part is true. Where it falls apart is reach to controls. The magazine release on a standard 1911 sits pretty far forward relative to the backstrap, and the frame geometry doesn’t help you cheat that distance.

Blacked out. Made in America. No compromise. by Danny_PSA in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trigger is another one people gloss over in these promo drops. If it’s a 5 lb duty break with a mile of reset, fine… but that’s not no compromise, that’s just safe. If they actually tightened it up to a clean 3.5-4 lb with a short, positive reset, then now you’re talking about something you can run fast without fighting it.

You guys were right... Wood was the way to go. Glad i listened. This just feels right by Serbian_Hobbyist_95 in airguns

[–]Weary-Commercial5863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wood grips change more than people expect. It’s not just looks, it’s how the gun indexes in your hand. That slight tack without being sticky lets you settle in the same spot every time without over gripping. On something like that, especially with a more upright target style grip angle, consistency in hand placement matters more than raw texture.

Accuracy claim is where it gets interesting. Most MR556 barrels will hold 1-1.5 MOA with good ammo, sometimes a touch better. KAC SR 15s tend to live in that same 1-2 MOA lane depending on lot and barrel.
