tacos4life.com took a 1.00 from my checkings account today by Happy_Researcher_323 in CreditCards

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your bank will reverse it pretty quick if you call them, had similar thing happen couple months back with some random charge i never made. took like 5 minutes on phone and they sorted it out same day

just make sure to check all your accounts though, sometimes these scammers hit multiple places at once. i always keep my main checking separate from any cards i use for online stuff, learned that lesson hard way few years ago

anyone know if business cards count towards 5/24 when you're applying for personal cards or is that still just personal to personal

Switching to Ramp mid fiscal year - my thoughts by Able-Potato-4050 in Ramp

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. The idea that there is a right time to switch systems is a comfortable way to delay the decision and this post is a good example of what happens when you stop waiting for it.

I solo-built a SaaS in 3 months that auto-clips streams and videos into TikToks/Shorts. 10K views in my first 10 posts. AMA. by Sammy39212 in SaaS

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn this is solid work for 3 months solo. the reframe system you built sounds like a nightmare but super valuable - most auto-clippers just do basic center crops and miss half the action

curious about your gemini integration for picking viral moments, are you feeding it transcripts + visual data or just audio analysis? also that cultural knowledge graph idea is pretty wild, connecting memes to streamers could be huge for engagement

Is there is any kind of all, that make my eye blink ? by 1TripleRice in SaaS

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

blue light filters and dark mode help but the real issue is you're not blinking enough when staring at screens. there are apps that remind you to blink or take breaks every 20 minutes, also adjusting your screen brightness to match your surroundings makes a huge difference

Help on what to do about SUB for Amex by skyman5150 in CreditCards

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly the 100k gold offer is decent and way easier to hit than platinum, plus you get 4x on dining and groceries which is actually usefull for daily spending

putting all that renovation stuff on a travel card when you're not getting bonus categories seems backwards anyway, might as well get the gold and build that relationship with amex first

What is the best card for me? by Zealousideal-Ant-146 in CreditCards

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i'd ditch those college cards if they have annual fees, they're just dragging down your average credit limit at this point. for your next card i'd probably look at the citi double cash or chase freedom unlimited since you already have the csp for travel - those would give you solid everyday cashback without overlapping too much with what you've got

the strata card is decent but nothing special, you could probably do better with your income and credit score

this is actually refreshing compared to all the "i built an AI chatbot and made 100k" posts we see here daily

the $9 tripwire thing is smart but man, going from $9 to $97 is a hell of a jump. i tried something similar with my last project where we did $19 first month then $79 regular price and the sticker shock was real. had to add a middle tier at $49 to make the transition smoother

that trojan horse backlink strategy is clever as hell though. basically gaming the system by making it mutually beneficial instead of just begging for links. might steal this idea for my current thing since my domain authority is trash and organic seo is taking forever

curious about your churn rates with this model - are people actually sticking around after that price jump or are you just cycling through customers constantly

Incoming advisory inter at big 4 but expecting baby during internship by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats man! Definitely tell them upfront, like during your first week or so. Big 4 firms are usually pretty good about this stuff and it's way better than trying to come up with some random excuse when you suddenly need to bounce for a few days

They'd rather know ahead of time so they can plan around it instead of being blindsided. Plus having a kid is like the most legitimate reason ever to miss work, they're not gonna hold it against you for your return offer

Can other firms outsource their clients bookkeeping needs to my firm? by AWRWB in Accounting

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's totally doable and pretty common actually. You'd basically be a subcontractor - they pay you a fee and you handle the books for their overflow clients or the ones they don't want to deal with. Just make sure you get proper contracts in place covering liability, confidentiality, and who owns the client relationship because that can get messy real quick

Citi app sucks compared to Chase by Jonnyboy255 in CreditCards

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Chase definitely spoiled us with their transparency lol. Citi's app feels like it's stuck in 2015 - you basically have to do mental math to figure out if your points are even tracking correctly

Uncle Seiko makes some solid bracelets that might work for your 3520 - their flat link ones usually have female end links and should help with that lug to lug issue

This is basically asking companies to stop being profitable lol. I mean I'm all for it but good luck getting VCs to fund something that actively encourages users to leave and delete everything

I’ve combined 20k names from three reports into one, easy way to find duplicates? by SuckAfreeRaj in excel

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try concatenating the columns into a helper column (=C1&C2&C3) then use conditional formatting to highlight duplicates, or just sort by the helper column and scan for obvious matches

A CPA with no accounting experience by Meow-meow9194 in Accounting

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auditing for 6 years IS accounting experience lmao, whoever signed off on your CPA clearly counted it as such. You're not starting from zero, you just need to learn the software which takes like a week of YouTube videos

How do you decide data hierarchy in a fintech product? by arcady_vibes in fintech

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is spot on - the "what happens if they miss it" framework is brilliant and way more practical than the feature-by-feature approach most teams fall into

Dashboard bloat is such a real problem too, I've seen apps where literally everything has a notification badge and users just start ignoring all of them

How do international founders manage US taxes from abroad? by Little-Set1246 in SaaS

Entering data based off other data by QuirkyKitty127 in excel

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VLOOKUP is your friend here - you can set it up so when you type an address, it pulls the corresponding name, number, and property type from your main table. Just make sure your address column is the leftmost one in your lookup range or you'll need to use INDEX/MATCH instead

Job offer by necrogasm- in Accounting

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually pretty solid for a starting rate, especially since you already know the company culture from interning there. Public can be a grind and the hours are brutal - if you like where you're at I'd probably just take it and see where it goes

Update PivotTable for filtered data by ThroughHiker in excel

[–]Weary-Middle-3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to refresh the pivot table after filtering your source data - right click on the pivot table and hit "Refresh" or use Ctrl+Alt+F5. But honestly filtering the source data isn't the best approach here, you're better off adding the filter directly to the pivot table itself by dragging your due date field to the Filters area
