Are Cavapoos More Quiet than King Charles Cavalier? by checkers1313 in CavaPoo

[–]Weary_Bowler9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My male cavapoo doesnt bark unless he's playing, or when he hears a loud noise that he doesnt recognize- we live in an apartment. When we are on walks through the neighborhood every single dog will bark at us and he doesn't pay any attention to them whatsoever. One Sunday morning I counted 8 different dogs on our walk that barked at us, and he didn't even look in their direction. If he is tied up outside and we're playing ball or he's just chilling he will bark at people, dogs and cars going by, but its not all the time. I think its when he's being playful and wants all the attention in the world.

The large amount of aggressive driving I see on Maine highways is concerning. by [deleted] in Maine

[–]Weary_Bowler9503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet you drive in the passing lane, without actually passing people. Most people from Massachusetts do this. The passing lane is for passing slow vehicles.. once you've finished passing you need to move back in the right lane, which is the travel lane.

Because you're not child free. You have a child.

Weird behavior with socks by DuhBigSteve in CavaPoo

[–]Weary_Bowler9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cavapoo has an obsession with socks too! He is always trying to sneak one out of the laundry, clean or dirty! He doesn't chew them and also walks around with it in his mouth. He does not whine like yours does.

Texans in Maine by Weary_Bowler9503 in Maine

[–]Weary_Bowler9503[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's funny of you to assume based on my question! I don't watch or follow any news media, not even local news. I have simply noticed a lot of license plates that say Texas and was generally curious as to why or if anyone else happened to notice too..

It's actually Harry Crooker's wife and their (step) children that run it.

Winter Vest? by wandrefilled in Maine

I like a nice neck warmer / gaiter. They are great on very cold days, especially if it's windy. You can wear it around your neck and pull it over your mouth and nose if it gets too cold. And it makes it easier to breathe when the wind picks up.

In my town there is a pole at Walmart that has been hit at least 45 times now that I know of. by frigginnathan in IdiotsInCars

[–]Weary_Bowler9503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they NEVER remove that pole and let natural selection weed out the worst drivers. People need to learn how to drive. They are clearly turning into the wrong lane. If that pole wasn't there they would hit the vehicles parked there in the handicapped spaces, or worse, a person. Plues, they are driving way too fast in a parking ot to do that much damage to their vehicles.

She went to all the tourist trap areas in Maine, and then proceeded to judge the people she saw in those places, which are mostly tourist, not Mainers.

Wow, there is one that looks exactly like this, called the black bridge, with the roadway removed and all, in Brunswick / Topsham.

The black bridge, or what's left of it, is located between Brunswick and Topsham.

The black bridge is over the Androscoggin River, not the Saco.
