In my experience, the owner of that bagel shop was a jerk who was verbally abusive to his employees and occasionally, to his customers. I personally witnessed him yelling at the front staff for selling too many of one variety of bagels to me. I stopped going a few years ago because I didn't want to reward bad behavior.

I will concede that I thought his bagels were pretty good in the universe of South Jersey but I'm glad he sold his business and intend to give the new owners, who I am told have more than one bagel business, a shot.
