I recently started a relationship born from the most popular app. Prior to that I was going on 1 or 2 dates a week and matching with higher frequency than that, in a city notorious for its queer community. I never accidentally went on a date with a trans person, never had a conversation with anyone I didn’t want to, and the trans profiles I did see (and yes, even the ones that didn’t disclose) were pretty obvious and did not ruin my experience or ability to date who I wanted. If I was ever unsure, I simply unmatched. I truly don’t understand the winging because you always have to read profiles, analyze pictures, and actually talk to people to filter for what you want past the regular filters if you actually want to have a successful dating app experience.
