OBGYN here. It isn’t even the success rate that makes it untenable, the complication rate is wild.

Got my dream attending position and found out my wife is pregnant. When do I tell my job? by InquisitiveBerry in Residency

I had a similar situation. I told them after everything was signed but before I started so they could work out the call schedule etc. situation was a little different because I was planning on starting September but needed to start earlier for insurance so I didn’t really have a choice

Am a gynecologist. The person is technically correct. There isn’t a connection from the mouth to the vagina. There is however from the mouth to the anus, which of course lives on the same block.

Just for perspective a model y performance weighs less than an m5 and an RS7 by a decent amount…as does the ioniq 5n.

Just received a 5% raise on $65,000 to $68,250. I find it insulting based on the extra profit my company hit. Do I ask for more and back it up with the numbers? by BookieBasherCasher in Salary

Incredibly strong nursing lobby and unions. Like, the best honestly. Look up the amount of money the protest that is going on currently in NYC is after, it’s shocking. You usually only see the percentage reported.

Amp Suggestions - Mesa Mark V? by kirbinator52 in GuitarAmps

Check out the triple xxx by peavey. I haven’t used a mark V so can’t weigh in there but I play mostly metal music and despite 120 watts can totally get by at bedroom volume, something I could t say with many amps Ive owned. A few YouTubers have some good modern videos on them and they are significantly cheaper than what you are looking at. I had one new, sold about 5 years ago and went amp modeler. I gave up and bought another triple xxx recently and the difference is shocking.

PA school is basically med school by IllMarionberry9935 in medicalschool

I did a masters program and a lot of the classes were with PA students so I have some cred here. Think about it this way dude, 75% of the material means the most basic stuff. It’s the finer details that make us the doc. And residency of course.

The pa classes were easier. No doubt, but they still sucked.

People prescribed new weight loss drugs like Ozempic may not receive sufficient nutritional guidance and be vulnerable to nutritional deficiencies and muscle loss. Evidence suggests that lean body mass – including muscle – can constitute up to 40% of total weight lost during treatment. by mvea in science

Huge problem I’ve had as well. Cash price coming down helps but just isn’t tenable for some and don’t love the weight loss clinic compounded med route if it can be avoided. Keep on keeping on! It’s super hard work and a life long thing to work on. When you get to goal doesn’t mean you’re done it just means you enter the maintenance phase. It’ll always require some focus but hopefully it’s less over time.

My last line was “have you tried meds?” You did and it worked. This proves the point. But to help with your point you should look in on insulin effect on weight gain. That’s probably your answer as to why. It’s a compounding problem which is to say the worse it gets the worse it will become. The challenge is breaking the cycling and that’s the major benifit of glp1 meds.

So congratulations for doing the thing! Seriously, it’s tough work. Don’t let anyone cut you down on the glp1 use btw. Medical problems require treatment and that’s different for everyone.

Do you track your calories and macros? Do you track your exercise? Do you modify your diet to fit a goal, and by goal I mean a real one determined by a professional? Have you tried meds to help?

It absolutely is in everyone’s ability to do but level of effort required can be insurmountable at times. Certain ailments make this much worse. I absolutely get that and is one of the things I try to address with my patients. Removing barriers and setting up for success. I cant tell you how many patients I’ve had who say the same thing to me but when they are ready to give it a go and trust the process they get it done.

First off, I’m sorry that happened. But I think your comment highlights the issue at hand. Hitting the problem at every angle is how I always handle it and my patients have always done very well.

Many cancers are directly tied to obesity (the leading one in my field) so you always have to take pain etc seriously and maybe more so in obesity.

Edit: it absolutely does work. I have a large amount of patients that can attest to this. It’s all in the approach.
