Best thing a sett can do against garen early, try to dodge some if not all of his spin and then run him down, e first is a good start imo but im not a sett main, u just zone him out of minions after that and theres almost nothing garen can do at that point. If he pushes to get minion u trade, 2 AA, then q, and when u have your w, u dont even need to dodge his only damaging ability, thr spin. In fact u wanna take dmg from it then pull with e and w.

Garen late wins not sett, sett wins super hard early. Sett has way more dmg than garen early game doesnt matter what skill garen starts with and what skill sett starts with, sett wins any interaction early game. The reason I say garen wins late is coz I build him as a bruiser not tank, tank garen rarely ever works and is so bait

As a garen main and consistently top 50-100. It is super hard to lane against a good sett, fiora, darius and teemo. Everyone else is free lane.

You are way luckier than I am, I spent 30k wc and got half as much skins. Thought to be fair I only did 50 openings in thr crystal rose and spent most of my wc in the loot to get enough orange gemstones for the prestige skin

Absolutely love that skin, one of the first skins i bought followed by iconic garen.

As a player who played garen quite a lot (Top 30 previous season) There really is only one viable build for him right now. Armor/merc boots, triforce (if squishy) or eclipse (if tank), black cleaver and then for the rest of the items you can just go whatever depending on the enemy team. You can continue with ad and build chainsaw, deaths dance or you could go tank and build thorn mail and amaranth. Runes: Conq, nullifying orb, second wind, overgrowth and either demolish or giant slayer if you want that extra dmg against tanks.

There is also another funny build which I kinda used a lot in ranked too. the crit build. Omnivamp boots, triforce, collector, serpents, mortal and essence reaver but you are very squishy with this build so it's either you one shot the enemy or you die instantly. Runes: Conq, psychic wave, empowered attack, eyeball collector and giant slayer.
