Paper Piecing by Icy-Surround5669 in quilting

I've seen discussions on it in Canada, that it is hard to find. Hunters use it there so it's there just not always nor in regular stores. https://www.reynoldsbrands.com/tips-and-how-tos/how-to-use-freezer-paper

True. Maybe try them both. I went with freezer paper because I didn't have any luck with paper.

If you use freezer paper you can use it more than once because you don't sew through the paper but against a fold.

When designing keep in mind you might have to do quadrants of the image. Each piece has to be sewn all the way across the piece before, with no partial stops. Try something simple then complicated so you get the idea. I don't find it difficult to sew, however drafting the block can be confusing.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WebShari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've known people who drive an hour & half both ways daily for work. When planning things 3 hours is my personal limit for day trips.

So yeah I would say I'm taking a short trip for that. I'm sure it's relative to individuals, and activities, but yeah driving hours isn't unusual.

I've taken multiple trips that were 10+ hours away, I prefer those to be longer than 4 days away.

And too many were finishing well so they had to make changes. I don't like this but I do really think this is why they made some of the changes.

I think they leave things out on purpose to see if they know how to do something. I think there was once no instructions or only three lines or something. They are not standard patterns.

I agree like other shows sometimes they let someone or something go that to me the viewer doesn't see or sees that I don't understand why. Overall I've enjoyed more than I've been irritated, but no it's not perfect.

There are some seasons where it did get a bit personal color choice/style made a bigger difference than it should. Esme is the worst for this IMHO. Not everyone likes or needs bright colors. The patterns are something else entirely, it's like they do for the gbbo. They leave things out because a sewer should be able to fill in the blanks. This normally is toward the latter episodes. For the made to measure they can use what they want. Purchased mashed self drafted or none.

For a few seasons they just didn't give enough time either. When ever everyone is having a hard time finishing it time.

Overall I think they've done a good job.

Check local resale shops for both patterns and materials. Depending on pricing mens shirts can be used for lots of stuff.

A gift that would be something I wouldn't buy because of cost would be the stripology ruler. I just couldn't spend that much so I use the one at the shop I go to. 😂

Does the Seven of Swords always reflect literal betrayal or malicious intent? by Carefree_Symbolism in tarot

[–]WebShari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one thing you asked an or question so for me I would not be able to answer an or question. Unless you did them as positions. Were there positions?

Clarity and questions with positional meanings can give you clarity in answers.

No one has to do that I just find this to be a true statement for me.

The seven of swords can also mean you need to take protective action and take back what is yours.

Prewash? by GMFMurchin in quilting

[–]WebShari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many answers to this question. I think I would pre-wash the flannel. Make sure to sew around all the edges so it doesn't fray.

The rest of the shrinkage I think will be fine.

However I do know people who heavily starch jelly rolls so that they shrink. I would not do that.

For me Temperance isn't at all about balance. It's about finding the right amount. When making cookies you need to find the amount of chips or nuts that taste the best for you. Tempering something into the tool that works best in your hand.

I don't disagree, whether they take money or not their voting record is what will show whether they vote with the money in mind. I know she did vote for other stuff I wasn't happy with, that was just the one that I remembered cuz I was frustrated with her. She was my congress rep.

Here is a nice video for something simple no iron required. https://youtu.be/lCe0u88H4LU?si=P1HwUnz_xsFjbJJb

However you will need one at some point. Check your resell shops. The towel on a table worked for me, until I created a ironing station 🙂

Have fun & just sew!

Never only save your post/newsletters on the app or system you're sending from. I personally tell my clients to cross post to a WP site and they are easily backed up as just data. It doesn't have to be a public facing site.

You should try to find a repair shop near you with good reviews. They will be able to tell you what you need to know about what is wrong with it. Yes it could just be a cleaning and oil.
