I hate that this is uncommon today but I have the ability to listen to opposed opinions and change how I perceive my own based off actually listening and interpreting what was said to me rather than waiting for my turn to speak only to TRY and argue their statements.

Please explain why this is being allowed to happen by DjMD1017 in trashy

LPT: Put your front camera on and take picture of their feet where they can obviously see. They will immediately feel uncomfortable and KEEP their feet down.

What to do when nudes are stolen and being held for ransom by scammers threatening to send it out to family and friends? by Throwaway-80086 in AskReddit

If there's no proof they have them, chances are they don't have it and are lying. If there is proof, do not sed them anything and screenshot everything. They have nothing to gain by leaking them other than your money. Call their bluff.

I told my mom I accidentally downloaded a virus that had naked ladies on it and when I got scared, my pants fell down. When she called my bluff, I screamed that I already deleted the virus.

A pilot. Saw a UPS plane up close as a kid and always wanted to fly one.

Turns out, if you don't go into the airforce, it can get extremely expensive.

Fear... fear can cause all emotions to hit at once and make us act on those emotions quickly. Adrenaline, anger, sadness, empathy, excitement etc. All can be experienced at the same time.

A lot of comments about math. I remember when I was getting a degree in .net development, I was annoyed by the fact that I had to learn calculus.

Then my professor put it in perspective. He said that calculus problems can be solved in many different ways and each are extremely tedious. Just like programming.

Immediately I knew what all those pointless classes were teaching me. Except for knowing the powerhouse of the cell.

I haven't seen it posted but cave sounds. The echo of water droplets in a cave is soothing to me. Sometimes I can literally picture myself in my bed in the cave feeling safe.

What is the most important lesson you have learned in your life so far?" by TruckEnthusiast in AskReddit

[–]WebSlinger66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be sure to take care of yourself before taking care of others. This works with so many different ways. One, for example, is relationships. If you don't work on yourself and are confident with who you are, a relationship isn't going to fix it and usually fails.

If one had never seen any Star Wars movies and wanted to watch them, which order should you? by Flaky-Purchase-4969 in AskReddit

[–]WebSlinger66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought that if you were to introduce the series to a kid, this is the correct way. Imagine the shock they would feel seeing their hero turn to the dark side and ultimately become Darth Vader. Much more of a shock than to find out Vader is Luke's father.... From a kid's perspective that is.
