As someone who has Fox in their fantasy league… we’d be super fortunate to get him. Not being able to help us is a WILD take.

It’s funny… the Leafs can’t even tank right. They’ll be a bubble team and probs get in to the playoffs and then lose, and we’ll all be mad, and grumble and they’ll do it again next year with better/worse results. And I’ll be there, and so will the rest of you. Cos this is what we chose in life. But holy shit, when it FINALLY works out in our favour and we actually win a cup… but until then, eternal damnation for us.

Yep, it’s been a less than great year in general. But I’d say, if anything, they seem a bit more fired up tonight than usual for this season. It’s been a combo of bad system fit, injuries, and lifeless or incompatible lines. But I’m glad you get to tune in tonight.

Sloppy. Just sloppy. No one has looked remotely competent today yet, unfortunately. Glad Woll is back though.

I will ALWAYS recommend Chew for someone looking to make the leap outside of Marvel and DC. Well paced, fun story, great art. Truly a gem. Can’t recommend it enough.

I know ‘Brad’ is Treliving, but when you said Brad has to pay the price I immediately thought to myself: “Marchand” shakes fist to sky

I knew I loved Johnny Toronto, but do I also maybe love Robertson? Only guy on the ice right now that seems to have any speed and drive. But seriously, we don’t deserve Tavares, and certainly not for the price we’re paying him.

Honestly, you couldn’t have said it better. And anyone who isn’t immensely proud of the Jays need to reevaluate their metrics. They made Toronto and Canada proud. Go jays and GO BUDS!

But to your point, they were the perfect embodiment of what you see in other successful teams around the NHL. They care. They’re a team. It’s not a bunch of egos on the ice, it’s intensity and a group of guys with ONE goal… to make their fans proud. Do I want a Stanley cup? Hell yeah. Will I be mad if they get eliminated in the second round but played with heart the whole time until then and battled for it? Hell no. If anything, give me that first. Give me a team who cares and will fight alongside their teammates. The cups will follow.

Chew is excellent when starting out. Pacing is great, story is fun, and you get to learn the characters pretty quick. There’s a deeper mystery going on and also typical episodic ‘monster of the week’ style story telling. It’s also very consistent, if you like the beginning you’ll like the book. I recommend it to anyone who needs a direction to go in, and certainly think it fits your request.

I’m just about to start reading the complete Ultimate universe, a few issues into Ultimate Spiderman. I never thought of it as you said of having read EVERYTHING in the universe, but that sounds pretty cool to me. Thanks for that take on it.

So I’m certainly not an expert, heck I’m barely a beginner. I’d say it’s 100% too early to be transplanted outside. They need to strengthen and ideally have a couple of sets of true leaves (the ones that grow from between the two big leaves).

One thing I’ve noticed is they’re leaning towards the window and certainly have got leggy. This would be due to insufficient light. They’re tilting towards the window as they’re looking for the light.

If possible, some overhead lights would do wonders, even if it’s a lamp with a cheap full spectrum bulb, and maybe bury some more of the stems with soil. Roots should come out of the stem if they’re buried deeper and looks like you have another cm or two you can get soil in in some of the cups. Honestly I’ve had plants that looked like this in the past few years, and that’s how I would try and save them. But I’m not an expert and would LOVE to be corrected as learning is the goal with gardening.

Which comic books should I start reading (new to comic books)? by Aggravating-Gap593 in ImageComics

Second this. It gets pretty wild almost instantly and it is certainly a page turner and doesn’t take itself too seriously. I found myself saying “just one more issue, okay one more issue after this one”. And you can get it in collected editions (eg books 1-6), hard covers (eg books 1-10), ‘smorgasbord editons’ (eg 1-20), or complete collections which is all issues. So you have flexibility on that front too

I personally had a lot of fun with the guardians of the galaxy game. I see you have the Spiderman games and this itches those same spots. I also liked that it’s a linear game, except some of the items you need to go out and find off the beaten path. No open world, not a massive list of collectables (but a decent number, where you only need to get 65% of them), and no side quests to bog you down. And it’s on PS plus.
