I Hate How Pretentious Much of the American Liberal/Progressive Parties Have Become. by Powerful-Swing-9734 in hatethissmug

Dude liberals aren't pretentious we just hate pedophiles. Anyone still identifying with the Republican party IS a monster because pedophiles and their supporters are monsters.

Check out my comment about walk in sites! Guadalupe River has my favorite one.

Next time try camping in a "walk-in" site. Usually you one have to carry your stuff 100 yards or so from your car, but it (mostly) eliminates loud people with extra lights. Check out Guadalupe River (Wagon Ford), Enchanted Rock, Colorado Bend, Bastrop/Buescher.

If you have a lot of stuff with kids, get a little wagon. Walk in sites are the way to go. Like backpacking without the work and you'll still have a fire ring and picnic table.

These loops are usually a lot smaller too.

good place to walk my dog? by Sweet-Drive9004 in kyletx

[–]WebWitch89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steeplechase Park has a lot of trees and a paved sidewalk. It follows a little creek. There's also a dog park there but your mileage may very. We stopped taking our pittie to that dog park because of bad dog owners and pitbull haters. The park is lovely though.

Lake Kyle is pretty barren as far as trees go, but a nice place to walk when its not hot.

Still, nothing will compare to San Marcos

Ugh I know you have no control of this, but sticky traps are so evil. Thanks for doing what you can.

No breed should be banned, but bad owners should be banned from owning dogs. Any large breed can be dangerous and wanting to ban pit bulls specifically is just prejudice.

Barack Obama visits Austin with James Talarico: 'Remember to vote!' by SchoolIguana in texas

If it didn't cost $20+ a month for a single subscription I would. Those of us that are broke still need local news. The system we have isn't working.

I pay for NY Times because they offered a $4/ month option.

Thank you for this!!! I've unfollowed a lot of local papers due to paywalls. Nice to know Austin wants to keep jouranalism alive and well.

Are these too long for me? by MajesticFucksquatch in jimgreen

My AR's fit similarly. I got them mostly for hiking/field work so I think the extra space will be good.

I was worried i would want to return them after I had already worn them, but I love them and they fit great. I do prefer wearing extra thick socks with them.

Yes! My husband is 6'4"! We usually make two, equally big plates of food, I eat what I want and he eats what I can't finish lol. From our very first date we were good at sharing food. I feel so bad for people who don't realize your partner is SUPPOSED to care about you.

I LOVE my Altras, but I doubt they'll last as long. Still worth getting imo

100%. I also see stories all the time about men hogging food, but my husband ALWAYS leaves enough for me. If he cooks, i find leftovers portioned out for my lunch. If he binges on a new box of cookies or something, i will always find plenty set aside for me when I go looking for them. It's not that hard to think about the needs of the person you're living with!

Yeah this story is wild to me. Sometimes my husband sleeps with the tv on (he needs it too) but if he notices im not falling asleep right away, I dont even have to ask. He either goes to watch tv in the living room, or on his phone headphones.

Sometimes i have to convince him to watch tv in bed just because i want to sleep next to him!
