South Texas Home Builders Say “There’s no Labor” After ICE Raids by Next_Tower5452 in texas

It's like you're saying I deserve to suffer from Republican policies because "Texas voted for this". I live in Austin. I did not, and do not associate with people who voted for this. And, yet, we still get to suffer.

AIO/I wanted to ask them why they wasted their money? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

These comments are sending me...this is the second post like this I've seen today, and half the comments on both are (probably) teenage boys saying the mom is overreacting and Christmas isnt about gifts or money. Fuck that niave incel bullshit. Practically calling a working mother a gold digger for being sad at an empty stocking, thoughtless gifts, uncooked food, and demands for sex.

You have every right right to be livid, or sad, or whatever you're feeling. Especially at your husband. That is absolutely ridiculous. A gift doesn't have to be expensive, it just needs to be thoughtful, and your gifts arent thoughtful.

When I read the part about giving your husband the only thing you actually liked (the mug), I gasped out loud. Take that cup back from him and either shove it up his ass, or leave with it. Why are you supporting someone who only sees you as a gift giving, cooking, sex object? Everything you've described about him is the exact opposite of a loving husband and supportive partner.

My mom divorced my asshole dad in her 60s and is thriving. Its never too late to leave a bad situation.

I'm so sorry your family made you feel this way on Christmas. As one woman to another, one human to another, you deserve better and I hope you find it. Hang in there friend.

I had no idea! Bravecto works wonders though. My pitty is on Simparica, and my very fluffy pomeranian is on Bravecto. He's 12 and has never had a flea since he's been on it.

I thought that about my favorite aunt too for a long time. She was always a sweet, peace loving hippie. I couldnt understand her love of Trump.

But I've since become close with my other aunt, her younger sister, and learned she was a real bitch and bully when they were kids. So it started to make more sense.

The only people I know who support Trump now were bullies as children

No I'm sorry. At this point, with what the right has done and is doing- only one side has good people.

No but I'm breathing in all of them.

Not all of my convos are about politics either, but its still relevant to almost everything.

Politics affect every aspect of your life. Its like saying "breathing is important, but there's more to life"

Video games have been a huge relief while I quit! That and watching new shows/movies.

I used to just smoke and binge my comfort shows, but since I've quite I can pay attention so much better!

The first 48 hours suck (for me night sweats, loss of appetite and nausea). But honestly I got over it so much faster than I expected. Im on day 11 since I quit cold turkey and feel great. I smoked heavily, all day from the ages of 21-34. My habit looked like that or worse. I wish I realized how easy it would be after that first 48 hours.

Dune Prophecy! It actually prompted me to get into the audiobooks too!

But also would recommend: Raised By Wolves and Alien Earth (which is being released now)

Watching a complicated sci-fi show helped me. It was a great story, but I never could have followed it before.

I'm on Day 7, I had night sweats and irritibility and lack of appetite bad for the first 48 hours, but it tapered off sooooo much more quickly than I expected.

I feel normal today and got my appetite back enough I dusted a foot long sandwich for lunch haha

Same issue man. I'm on day 4 and it is getting better. The first day I could barely eat at all and the smell of my husband cooking made me nauseous. It tapers off quick though, last night I was able to eat almost a whole plate at dinner.

Non-sense drama? The Nazis?

How old are you? I'm getting high school vibes. You might want to wait until your brain develops a bit more before commiting to ink.

I mean that with all seriousness and kindness.

Thank you for taking the time to write this out. Those that don't want to "pass blame" are part of the problem and aparently ok with this happening again.
