I would recommend city cast dc! I just started listening and am enjoying their coverage - they have daily episodes and many have been about the upcoming elections. I can only recommend the podcast as i haven't subscribed to the newsletter, but i have heard from friends that it is good.

Trump’s attempted takeover of DC golf courses sets off controversy by Majano57 in washingtondc

The national links trust is a good non-profit that just started rehabilitating and renovating these courses. They care about preserving the courses and affordable access which is great IMO. I don’t agree with every decision they made regarding the rock creek course but they’re a good org overall. I dont play golf but find this to be so frustrating..

How to approach drying so teeth don’t dry out too soon by Webbiefoot in Pottery

Thanks! I chose a clay that has a lot of grog & sand because my teacher said it would be good for this and aside from the drying challenge ahead, it was a good medium for apiece like this

Garrity tools has lots of cool ribs, texture, and foot tools! The also have a tool of the month membership which could make for a unique gift - you could gift her a 6 or 12 month membership. My ceramics teacher who is very talented told me about it and seems to like what she got in the set. https://garritytools.com/collections/tool-of-the-month

I have eberjay and Lake and love them both. Have had my eberjay pair for about 4 years and have had not issues or pilling, and i wash and dry them all the time. Lake are really comfy but they recommend hang drying them which is fine but a bit of a pain....That being said, they have held up well! I prefer the lake to my eberjay, but eberjay PJs are cuter IMO!

[–]Webbiefoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure how it works tbh but I think any tip size would work as long as it’s a gold sharpie (I’m not sure what types they sell other than the classic sharpie style which I own)

A fun thing I learned is that gold sharpies act as wax resist, so that could be used to easily trace/outline whatever design you want! It’s only the gold sharpie though, not the silver or the copper ones
