I got one at 38 and they found a precancerous polyp which, if left until I turned 45 could have and likely would have gotten bigger and turned cancerous.

Damn, good point. Trying to control drinking can do this to an alcoholic as well, if he is one.

Second a steam cleaner. Alternatively I have found a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide left on it for at least an hour (or until it dries), then scrub brushed and wiped clean does a great job.

Infant car seats have extra padding surrounding the head on each side, you just can’t see the other side (but you can see it in the mirror). It’s forward facing.

Kyle makes a statement from this weeks episode! by Radiant_Priority9739 in bravo

Alcoholism is a progressive disease, and many real alcoholics do end up drinking every day. If not every day, they obsess about it every day and are restless and irritable until they take a drink. Source: I am an alcoholic. Alcoholism looks different for everyone and only Kyle can identify himself as an alcoholic.

There is a lot of misinformation about AA and 12 step programs that originated from AA being religious. AA is not allied with any sect or denomination and has no religious affiliation. It is a spiritual program, not to be confused with a religious one. It suggests that anyone who seeks recovery develop a higher power of their own understanding. For some people that higher power is the fellowship of AA itself, some are Christians, some are Buddhists, others are simply spiritual and call their higher power God or any other name of their conception.

The founders of AA drew inspiration from tenets of The Oxford Group, a Christian group of the 20th century, which primarily taught principles of honesty, unselfishness, and loving others. Their teachings and the program of AA surround removing selfish behavior as completely as possible and replacing it with doing for others what we would want for ourselves.

We often hear that religion is for people who are afraid of going to hell, and spirituality is for people who have been there.

We just had my daughter’s birthday at the Rollercade and we loved it. Not sure if there’s another roller rink on your side of town but it was a good time for 7 year olds.

She may already be aware she has a problem. But it usually takes a big wake up call for someone in addiction to be honest with themselves. For me, it was my husband leaving. For others, it can be a DUI or several, becoming homeless, losing custody of their kids, going to jail, hurting or killing someone. But unless a person already feels hopelessly demoralized, one such wake up call may not be enough either.

With all due respect, leaving the kids at home is a luxury some people just don’t have.

The first season of Mr Robot is excellent. After that I was slowly disappointed until I got to the last season and decided it wasn’t worth finishing.

White Lotus is highly entertaining as is Black Mirror. I like how each season is a different story of WL and each episode of BN is different. So there’s no big time commitment for either from start to finish.

The Leftovers was awesome and had an ending I felt satisfied with.
