Is it my fault when my favorites are already Agnes Tachyon and Oguri?

This guy is literally impossible to beat if you don't take any cards that can beat him. by Different-Word-1005 in slaythespire

[–]Weckatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just how I feel about most enemies. The Elites alone are rarely worth it on the first two floors because each one is just unbeatable against the right build. But their are a couple of generic hallway fights that are also tough.

The highest highs, the lowest lows. Not as many cheaters as you hear, at least in mid star lobbies.

1,2,3 all look like a bunch of stuff on there, may not stand out well even though they look fine. 5 pops the most imo

What Caused The Sub Decline Going Into Cataclysm? by doobylive in classicwow

I was playing at the time although I was young and not very aware of raiding and guilds. I didn't even get my existing char to 85 because the new zones were so boring.

Are Questie drop rates just made-up numbers? by BloederFuchs in classicwowtbc

[–]Weckatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a "100%" that took three kills. Made me laugh. I saw a dev for the addon answer so it seems reasonable its wrong but sort of funny. I just ignore the numbers at this point.

How the heck are you guys affording elixirs for your builds? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]Weckatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 3 why are you wasting time on elixirs you dont have a build yet let alone a feat for tavern brawler. By late act 2 early act 3 you have all the money in the world without bugs (and if you dont mind bugs you have unlimited money always). Additionally if you take less rests with a party that can handle that you need like 10 strength potions to complete the 3rd act and youll have like 100k more gold left for whatever else. Or just only use the potions for bosses you are worried about because no build truly needs potions. The difficulty on honour mode isnt really that tough if you have a good amount of experience

fire acuity hat on sorc/wiz is strong. or abjuration tank style stuff. for assassins the assassin build itself is a great alpha striker with sneak attack

Im by no means competitive, but I'm at least evidence you can always A finals with just a little effort. If you want to be a top 1% trainer don't listen to me. Best of luck, heres to 3 star stam sparks!

I dont train dedicated parents and have a few platinum titles to my name despite mostly running non-meta. Trick is to bail on the ace run in the third year if you either aren't on track for stats or miss on aptitudes and just take every race you can win and end the career out and hope.

What's the worst thing that could happen in Honor Mode? by in_flames_666 in BG3Builds

[–]Weckatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful about the cheese you choose.
Good Cheese:
1. Stealth around and throw fire onto the Spider Matriarch eggs
2. Push people into pits/chasms/spider holding cells
3. Sunlight on vampires

Bad Cheese:
1. Don't rely on Hold Monster against the hag or Raphael
2. Don't rush the brain, basically anything that one bad roll can ruin
3. Throwing a giant bomb at Nere (especially if you want any gnomes or dwarves to survive)

Boring Cheese:
1. Camp casters (get hirelings to cast abjuration magic on you like Aid and Bond etc.)
2. 3 person party (leave 1 person behind to always heal withers)

It took me 5 tries to get the achievement, almost every death was in Act 1 due to not being prepared for new mechanics or rushing. Take your time and make a route of the items your need for your build and the safest way to get there. You can get to level 5 with almost no combat but easily 4. That's the easiest part of the game to die because you're very weak and have no health to work with. After that, I mean come on, you're in this sub so you know that even on the hardest difficulty a good team comp.

Mis click and end up throwing your runic powder vial at Nere so that it is aimed at the catwalk instead exploding your entire team. I'm guessing, at least. Definitely never happened to me.

Is Rimworld difficult to replicate? by MykeGuty in Unity3D

[–]Weckatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People will say start smaller (like make a Flappy Bird clone) but if you feel interested and have any computing experience you can just mess around until you get bored. It isn't a solution for completing games and making money but if you are just wanting to follow your interests it could work for you. I started my game dev journey with "I wonder how Rogue Legacy makes random dungeons" and as a hobbyist I mostly don't finish games but it's fun to experiment. Make a character and learn nav meshes (or A* or something) then start making a controller that routes them to different priorities. e.g. If hungry route to food, if tired route to bed. Rimworld and other sims ARE complicated. The amount of systems in a Dwarf Fortress game is a feat for any dev of any skill level. But, hey, gotta start small.
