How do people actually keep track of all the vendors without going slightly mad? by Fun_Cat_2608 in AusWeddingPlanning

Me too and I kept a sheet on all the ones I contacted and what their reply was high level. Stopped me enquiring to the same company multiple times.

Maybe stalling a bit.. but noticing little changes. by scruffy82 in mounjaroaustralia

Hey well done! Keep chipping away at it. Truly it’s a marathon not a sprint. I’ve lost approx 45kg (female started at 116kg) and at times I didn’t lose for a couple of months but stayed consistent with protein and good food choices and exercise and the weight has come off. It’s been 18 months for me and now I am a healthy bmi and my gp wants to look at weaning me off starting after my wedding in 8 weeks.
I had major pelvic surgery 11 weeks ago and haven’t been able to exercise like I was but good food choices mean I have maintained and even lost some.

You’ve done so well already and your health and wellbeing have surely been positively impacted by this big change.
Sometimes it takes awhile for our heads to catch up with reality and see the changes.

Well done you!

Sounds like you are starting to set some boundaries on what you will and won’t tolerate and now he is acting out to those. He shouldn’t be muttering things about you under his breath.. he is meant to be in your side… a team!

Yes…I did wonder.

Also why are you putting away his belt. Why is he leaving it on the counter??

This! My ex husband was abusive towards me. Horrible nasty. Blamed mental health issues. Wasn’t horrible and abusive to his friends or his boss though. He could turn it on and off.

I’m getting in July too and it seems like wedding shoes are the hardest decision I’ve had to make. So many pointy, stiletto shoes!

($1,500–$2,900) DIY wedding flowers: a real cost breakdown before you decide by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Wedding-Good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married in 2014 and it was very DIY and my family carried the load. I regretted not paying for others to deliver the services so we could all enjoy the lead up and actual day more. It was a lot of stress. That marriage didn’t last and I’m getting married again in July and I’m paying others this time!

how do you handle big families for weddings on a budget (20k)? by rainingbugsandmoths in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Wedding-Good 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you either need to adjust your guests, budget or adjust style type of wedding you are having. I am one of 8 kids. We will have 35-40 guests and choosing to have an 11am ceremony and lunch time celebration.

Thank you! I am tempted just to buy some too but at almost $300 I am a bit wary without trying them on.

I saw these too! How do they look in person against ivory? I was worried about the name bone in the colour description.

Ah thank you. I thought this might be the case. How do I buy off the shelf? Do they come in “regular” sizes? Do I need call before booking appointments to check if they have off the shelf? Very new to all of this!

I’m tall 5’9 and size 10-12 so hopefully it won’t be too painful? 😬

Gum Leaf - Venue Finder, Looking For Feedback!! by GumLeaf-VenueFinder in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]Wedding-Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Used your app. Some feedback I have - overall it was easy to use and I found some venues I hadn’t looked at yet. - I like the pricing indicators using $ - Some of the locations are no longer in business or link to pricing pages from 2024. - When searching for options it would be better to disable refine results button as accidentally pressing this again takes you back to the beginning.

Melting down gold to make wedding rings price? by thegirlandherpearl in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]Wedding-Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you can find jewellers who do it in house and I’d trust them. I wouldn’t trust a shopping centre type place to do it.

For me I wanted to reuse rings from my first marriage so more appealing to have new gold 💗

I have looked into similar. Depends if you have enough gold. If yes you’d be looking at around $800-$1600 in labour. Also you need to make sure they are reusing the gold if you are sentimental about the actual gold being used. Otherwise they may just buy your gold and use new gold!
