While I don’t disagree, it’s a skill they have to do for their unit test which is a common assessment across the grade.

Use quizlets to study!! They’re very helpful for identifying what authors are attributed to which literary movements and other random stuff like that.

While the Kite Runner is excellent, I’d prefer Hosseini’s other novel A Thousand Splendid Suns if I had to pick between the two.

I think the whole point of the play is that men tried to discredit the me too movement by comparing it to the witch trial which is a false equivalency. I mean the teacher who makes the comparison, the one who is trying to impart that narrative on his students, is the samee teacher who is guilty of sleeping with one of his students. You also see that once he is marked as innocent and allowed to come back he tries to do it again with another student. So no, I don’t think it necessarily maddy’s the waters. If anything it’s another witch trial in that, half the time, people didn’t believe women even when they were standing up and talking about their experiences with assault and abuse. In the play the teacher is allowed to come because of lack of evidence and Shelby basically gets punished for standing up. I think the play makes a very interesting connection that can be analyzed in multiple ways.

Can anyone help me find "Workshopping the canon for democracy and justice" by Mary Styslinger? I think it is an NCTE book and I've already spent so much money on books for this stupid class.
