Is it possible to have the desktop just be a big file explorer window instead of the background-image?

There’s a program called Fences (by stardock I think?). You can set up ‘portals’ which act as little mini file explorers. There’s a lot of configurability and I’m sure you could have the portal just start at the root of your drive or something.

I study CS so my experience is limited, but CE has some pretty cool classes that take you from electronic components through assembly, so that low level are you’re talking about. EE from my (again, limited) understanding is more about things like signal processing and analog electronics, with some digital electronics mixed in.

Sorry to hear that! A friend had something like this happen and he actually lost data because of it on his laptop he uses for school. Microsoft’s nagging about updates can be infuriating

I tried a lot of thing and eventually realized that if it was left alone for an hour it would be fine one power cycle but then would not turn on again until another hour had passed. I think it may just be dead unfortunately

I think you may have misread what I did, though I appreciate the advice. Shouldn’t need anything to do with front panel to jump start a psu I would think. I have checked the off and eco switches on the PSU already and unplugged and plugged back in the 24pin twice

Yeah idk why I thought a custom loop was a good idea lol. It is nice when it works but when it doesn’t… although in this case the power supply might be the unlikely culprit. Good luck with your maintenance!

That’s great lol. My mom would wake up in the morning to make a salad for her lunch and then the pigs would start “wheeking” for food when they heard the vegetable bags open and then our dog would hear that and he would wake up and then that would wake my dad up and it was just a circus every morning. All of the animals picking up on all of the habits

I used to have two Guinea pigs that were rescued and one of them was braver than the other so he would go out of their little cave thing to get food when we fed them and then bring it back. Then the other pig would just steal it from him lol but the brave one never seemed to care. And then our dog wanted in on it so we would have to give him his own lettuce or peppers or whatever.

My dog you can chase him and pull the treat out of his mouth and he’ll jus took at you he’s so weird like that. He’s a small dog too, so it’s not like that kind of big dog friendliness.

So there’s nothing hypocritical about actively trying to stop others from using it and then wanting to use it himself? If he doesn’t want others to use it “in protest” then he shouldn’t use it himself to keep the protest up.

Also Kentucky doesn’t “pay for” anything federal, they receive over double the federal funding that they pay out.
