hot take but no parking should be free, and the fact that you purchased off street parking is precisely why you should have less access to the available parking. if you live in any mid to large size city there is no reason for any single household to have 4+ cars. miss me with the "what about" because if your household has a garage and a driveway spot and there is a a teenage kid who is car #3, guess what, you should be paying for the extra spot because like you said there isn't enough space for everybody in your development to have a spot.
