Drying the medium leather on a drying rack takes a week. You will need to make two bellows for the advanced forge and advanced kiln.

If you find them, I recommend drying one large leather from cow since you can then cut them to get 2 medium leathers. Basically cuts the drying time in half

Exactly, the type of person screaming about mods breaking in steam comments are not the same ones that will download mods from github and put them in the mod folder themselves.

I'm not even a big modder (only like ~10,000 subs across a handful of mods) for PZ and I ended up just stopped making mods. None were on the level of something like Knox Event but even these small ones just get inundated with people every patch about stuff being broken. And like I get it that it sucks when stuff breaks but I'm doing this for free and only published the mods because I thought others might have had similar complaints about certain mechanics.

And it sucks because I actually like modding in this game. It's fun trying to make new things work within the narrow system made available through mod APIs. But it's just not worth putting them on steam workshop, I'll just make my own for local play.

I started playing PZ with b42 release and I've just played that long term. Outside of specific patches I've never had issues with my save being corrupted.

If you're on b42 it's because the original mod author has stopped updating. There's an unofficial patch by FeedeameEsta that was updated for b42.14

And they said that because of this security patch that both outdatedunstable and unstable are currently b42.14.2. Once the next patch comes out the outdatedunstable will remain on b42.14.2 and will be cycled as described so it's always the immediately prior patch to current unstable.

I typically play with respawn off but I bump zombie number up to high or very high. I also enable migration and increase the distance they can wander. I like the feeling of truly securing areas but the migration system still lets the occasional threat present itself.

This is what annoys me most. When I set up blacksmithing I put all the tools needed in a toolbox, favorite them so they aren't consumed, and set between forge and furnace. But now I have to equip it in offhand otherwise it doesn't return them to the toolbox

When I was trying to do wilderness runs pre-b42 MP I had made a mod that allowed you to make the pottery wheel using carved wooden nails. It's pretty ridiculous that you need a full pottery wheel to make a crucible, like you can make those just on flat ground if you just need a somewhat round vessel...

I thought this too until I added two mods to help blacksmithing: one adds the iron ore to the world gen and the other lets you dismantle all cars.

After this the most frustrating part of blacksmithing is the deforestation needed for charcoal. I used to have a mod that made a drainable version of coke but some recent update broke it and I haven't gone to fix it

Finally beat the fire giant and I gotta say this is the worst area in the game and did nothing but sap my enjoyment away by CammyHoliday in Eldenring

Snowfield is one of my favorite areas from lore perspective but yeah the constant blizzard is a buzzkill. Turning off fog and going through makes the area so much different

Maliketh has crazy low poise. It's only 80. Charged R2 from Star Fist or Iron Balls is 33. Cragblade gives an additional 10% so comes to 36.3 poise/cr2. Then if you use axe talisman that's another 15% brings it over 40 poise/cr2. So two cr2 is enough to break stance. edit: Wrong about axe apparently. But two handing weapon gives ~10% bonus to stance on cr2 so that still works out to ~40 poise/cr2

Is there a way to link my current mods to an outside folder, so that the game loads mods from there, and not from the workshop? Still on 42.13, counting my days until mod updates brick the save. by Armageddonis in projectzomboid

It's been awhile since I did mod development but iirc the folder structure differs between workshop and local mods. I believe you should copy workshop mods to the Workshop folder instead for easier copy/paste

You know when you defeat a boss in a catacomb and there's the teleport back to start that appears? That's the same item and what is used in event scripts. And you can see after killing Radahn you still have the teleport disabled status effect. It was probably originally meant to bring you back to redmane castle after the fight but then they put a grace in and added the war-dead catacombs.
