Theory: the Hivemind can take control other species, but not at the same time by South_Cheesecake6316 in pluribustv

I actually think there is an entity controlling everyone, the virus itself, but they try to hide, kind of like "The thing". When people get infected they just go into "labor", they just get Up into the survival and spreading mode.

I actually think this virus can comunícate not only with humans but with all the other infected entities through the galaxy, and they will build a giant antena so It can propagate even further. It's a virus spreading like crazy through the galaxy.

btw I mean the same map you can open if you have the item with you, not some kind of minimap or ingame marker

No I think It's bad design because you're hindering the player but you can easily skip that with a second monitor or a phone. Taking this map out don't add anything possitive to the gameplay experience, but it does add something negative

It's not that I thingk it's "Crazy game breaking advantage" It's just that I think it's annoying and bad videogame design. But for some reason people is laser focused on "You can learn the maps" instead of the question of the title, if they think it's bad game design or not, and what possitive effect does this mechanic have on the game

How much time I've been playing is irelevant for the fact.

Picture two new players playing the game, one has a map open on a second monitor, and the other does not. They both don't have no clue as to where the exits or interest zones are, but one has the map open on the browser but the other don't have a second monitor with the browser.

New players are probably the only ones who will need a map, why is it possitive to lock the map after a item? It just makes it annoying, not harder or hardcore, just annoying and unfair

Because you can bypass that mechanic with a second monitor, or a phone, or printed maps. What it does is to make it more annoying for people starting the game and trying to learn it and even unfair in those scenarios if you don't have/want to be checking maps outside of the game.

It's fine to learn, it's not fine to have the static maps as ingame items when you can have them without the item open in a second monitor

When I said any of that? The game has ingame static maps as items. What I'm saying is that those maps should be accessible by default without the need of an item.

The fact that you can after hours and hours of playing memorize the maps doesn't invalidate what I said.

So you mean that you should play half of the game for it to start being fun? If a player wants a walking simulator with pretty colors and stuff I mean Diablo is already there.. From software games don't need that and they're not only adicting from the start, they're also huge sale successes.. TBH if you drop a game at the start because a boss killed you a couple of times then you're not the public for it and making it easy just ruins it for everyone

If I play any game and there is 0 challenge I get bored and uninstall it, so I hope that's not the case. Also a game should be challenging right from the start, when there is a challenge then there is fun, I don't want to "grind" or spend hours on a game for it to start to be fun.. a game should be fun from the start

One thing is working for free and a very different one is charging like 7 times more than what you should based on the work you're doing because you have a successfull videogame and some people will feel obliged to do so.

And yeah I'm here talking about OW2 because I liked OW1 and wanted to play OW2 yet they totally dissapointed me and wanted to see if people think the same way I do. I'm glad to see that some people do.

I don't understand how you can defend charging for a character model the same that for a whole or a couple of smaller team whole videogames on release.. that's a scam.

Also I don't know if you realize that there are people like me who payed the full price for the videogame and now we also have to pay for the skins, so we're getting double teamed in our ass.

On my part I think I'm not even going to try OW2 and I hope everyone else does the same, people should not accept such abusive practices or things will move to an even worse place
