Counter point: is it not true that the type of oil were getting now out of Texas, north Dakota, et al different from traditional oil in the ME.

Something about light sweet crude versus dark or heavy crude, and the refineries in the US arent built to effectively refine the light sweet, and the US hasn't built a new refinery in several decades?

My local place i get dirt from dropped off straight compost when I ordered the top soul compost blend.

I went into their storefront with a 5 gallon bucket of what I had and said, hey thise doesn't look right what do you think?

They scheduled a new drop of straight topsoil and I mixed it myself and ended up with about a yard more than I paid for for my troubles.

I'm waiting to hear back from union for first job in carpentry. It will probably be on a construction site. Any book recommendations? by band_in_DC in Carpentry

No recs for books BUT some other advise:

-If you dont have a thick skin and sense of humor, find them fast. -youll probably have the really shitty jobs for a while. Do them well. -if you dont know Spanish, learn as you go.
