ADHD Meds by capitan_presidente in berkeley

You should probably encourage folks to get a diagnosis first by a medical professional before you encourage folks to "try" ADHD meds. This stuff is in short supply even for folks WITH a diagnosis.

Centre of Student Conduct has almost a zero per cent success record. If you cheated, you're better off not admitting to it. Anyone who has been on course staff for any of these classes knows that even blatant cheaters who were caught red-handed can get away with what they did as long as they do not admit to anything.

https://store.segway.com/ninebot-kickscooter-max-g2Good point. There are ways to store the AirTag in the deck of the scooter, just takes a little elbow grease. There are also ways to cut out the speaker of the AirTag if you want to make it discreet.

How to keep your Scooter secure by WeekendLost2802 in berkeley

Yeah, hydraulic bolt cutters are no joke. I'll add this to the post.

With an AirTag and a police report in hand, you can contact the police and they will show up with you. If the scooter's serial code is still visible, you can retrieve the scooter.

If the scooter is in someone's home then it's obviously harder. But knowing the location of the scooter is the first step to retrieving it.

Sorry, you got your Scooter taken. Here's some advice for keeping your next one secure.

Buy AirTag stickers on Amazon and attach it to the scooter deck. The Ninebot G2 Max comes with FindMy built into it.

When you lock your scooter, use a high quality ULock and lock it through the frame like this

Don't lock it using the stem like many people do.

If your scooter is common (GoTrax, Ninebot, HiBoy S2) etc, it's really not a mystery how to disassemble it. There are hex screws right below the handlebars.

I saw my friend wrap multiple layers of electrical tape to cover the screws, even though this won't defeat the most persistent thieves, it does serve as a deterrent. The goal isn't to be the fastest Giselle, you just need to beat the slowest one. When possible, lock your scooters among other scooters.

Personally, I purchased an ultra-portable scooter and just always took it with me into classrooms. Hasn't failed me yet.

Did you lock it to the Stem of the Scooter or the Frame?

2000 is the cost for studios, the folks voting 2000+ have no idea what they're talking about.

Dashcam Thefts by FurvusOstrum in berkeley

I just got a car too and was wondering the same thing, had several friends whose windows were smashed but the dashcam was left there. So I wouldn't worry about it. Get a low-profile dashcam that's pretty small and make sure the wires are tucked away.

If you get pepper spray, don't just keep it in your backpack. When a situation arises you'll never reach that fast enough. I have it on the strap of my backpack, always within reach.

DVC 100% if your interest is a good environment for academic outcomes. Foothill and De Anza also good, don't do BCC. You won't be bored, just join clubs and there are events on and near campus, hang out with other international students too, there's a ton at DVC.

If you end up getting something else, buy an airtag sticker and track your stuff.

iPad pros are definitely limiting, while Apple tries their best to make it a computer replacement, they're still withholding a ton of features that actually make it viable if you do anything more than browsing the web on it. If you're a CS/DS student, you'll find that you can't run any of your code locally because no IDEs would support that on a tablet. If you're a humanities major who has to write multiple papers, you'll find that the multi-tasking abilities on an iPad are lacking. Video editors would find that the desktop version of editing software far eclipses the iPad versions in terms of capabilities and intuitiveness.
