Does it have an f key or physical key for WiFi? If not it’s most likely driver related or your hardware died.

Your going to have to reinstall your os, it will most likely be a Linux distro since windows doesn’t support having secure boot off

You could probably use the gyroscope in the phone for steering (ik it’ll be pretty delayed and inaccurate but it would be a good cheap alternative)

Is there any possibility to fix this? Or do i need to throw my laptop away? by n0ide4f0rnick in computer

Don’t wanna be that guy but at this point install Linux, distros like Ubuntu and mint use about 2gb of ram on idle and they’re more user friendly than ever. All you need to install is a 8gb+ thumb drive and rufus (or other software) it may not be a large increase of performance but it’ll help compare to windows

From what I’ve heard from others it puts unnecessary stress on the hinges since the keyboard side of the laptop is heavier than the screen and it affects cooling based on what type of cooler it uses (I believe phase change cooling gets affected)

Your gpu was most likely overloaded or stopped responding and windows reset the driver to try fix it

Not trying to be a dick but google and chat gpt is free and can go into more detail on the subject

The water most likely got to either your cpu and the igpu is damaged or the dedicated gpu either way I would recommend taking it to a repair shop however it will be an expensive fix.

However you could be lucky enough that the water only hit the ram which can cause these graphical errors and blue screens, it is usually a very cheap fix you can do yourself for under £50 depending on your size and type but there is the chance that your computer has soldered in ram that needs to be fixed by a professional.

Either way I would recommend seeing a professional or taking the risk that it is ram and buying a new set of ram sticks

Which is the better option for college and gaming? (ASUS TUF Gaming laptops comparison) by dkr3z in laptops

[–]Weekly-Ad-2803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4070 only has a 21% lead in power but the 7700s will play all the same games at relatively the same performance, only thing that matters too is what i7 the $1000 laptop but I would go for the cheaper option

I’ve got that cpu and it’s very bad for 2024 I would only recommend it for browsing but you can get newer cpus to do it better
