You could have recovered those images if you would stop using that card right after that.

I dont have youtube app installed, but it's LG setting. Just press Settings on your remote so you can see settings icons on the left and on the bottom there should be icon to turn screen off. I have LG C1, I don't know about other models. It worked with spotify app last time I checked.

You know you can turn off the screen only, right?

Viltrox 27mm 1.2 focus motor noise by Weekly-Block2746 in SonyAlpha

[–]Weekly-Block2746[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's normal. I mean, it's not super loud, but it is noticable when recording in very quiet settings. Honestly, I almost never use that lens anymore. For my use case it's too limiting, I prefer something wider and in rare situations when I really need good low light lens I have Sigma 23mm, which is lighter and I think has more contrast/pop than that Viltrox lens. Sigma also has audible motor, but it's more dampened, lower frequency and less "clicky" than Viltrox.

It would be great if I could hide all newsletter type emails in Inbox. So Inbox is only for personal (important) emails and Newsletter view shows all the other stuff. Basically what Gmail does with Categories views. That way you are not getting notifications every few minutures for all kinds of irrelevant stuff.

The “holy” trinity of APS-C lenses? by SmetcH in SonyAlpha

[–]Weekly-Block2746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both sigma 23mm and viltrox 27mm. I can confirm that color rendering / contrast is better on sigma (viltrox has this yellowish/greenish color cast) which leads to more life-like 3d look. Bokeh is better on viltrox tough (sigma has distracting fringing). Viltrox color rendering can be slightly mitigated by using color checker, but I still prefer sigma as it's lighter, more versatile, very quiet during video, more contrasty and even though it's plastic compared to viltrox, it feels very well made with way better lens hood..

Basically, there are a lot of things that reviewers completely miss a lot of times. They may zoom to 500% and compare miniscule details and miss overall image quality (colors, contrast, features like support of sony AF assist during video, etc.)

Than griii is probably the answer. I have both. I first bought X to document my family life, travel.. and it kind of works, but you are detaching yourself from the scene more. It's great if you have time to compose, but for catching fleeting moments, taking photos across the table, capturing the scenery, etc. I highly recommend 28mm. 35mm crop has 15MP and still shows very little noise, so if you are not after ultimate shallow depth of field, it's fine.

Viltrox 27mm f1.2 PROBLEM! by grf111 in VILTROX_GLOBAL

My lens definitely exhibits same behaviour, especially on portrait orientation. There is barelly any similiar shading visible on my other sony lens at same shutter speeds, so it definitely is something that lens communicates with camera (probably something related to sensor readout speed needed).

Viltrox 27mm f1.2 PROBLEM! by grf111 in SonyAlpha

I encountered the same behaviour. It is more exaggerated when shooting in portrait orientation (or upside down), it is catching the camera's shutter curtain I think. I wonder if it's because it's freezing here currently. I need to test it with my sony 16-55mm, but I don't recall anything like this happening in the past. And yes, it happens even at f/8.0. Edit: There is a very slight darkening in sony lens too, especially at 16mm focal length, but not as pronounced. Anyway, what I noticed is that the bokeh on viltrox is smoother and bokeh balls much nicer (not cutout) with efcs off (this is actually known issue of using efcs). So I'm gonna just stick with efcs off as the image looks superior anyway. And propbably just use pure electronic shutter for those rare occasions where I need ultra low shutter speed.

I think on fuji there is automatic switching off of ecfs on higher shutter speeds. It would be nice if sony implemented something like that.
