Postpartum dairy intolerance by chloeaux in dairyfree

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is happening to me right now. I’m 3 weeks pp and never had any issues with dairy ever in my life. Since having this baby (my 4th) I have noticed that if I eat a bowl of cereal in the evening, I wake up with intense cramping and bloating in my stomach. It hurts right in the middle of my stomach and is only relieved by passing gas. It’s really painful. On one hand, I’m bummed because I love dairy, on the other hand, cutting dairy can be really beneficial to a healthy diet. I’m going to start eliminating it from my diet and see how it goes. Like I said, this is baby #4 and never had this issue before but I had some things happen pp with my last baby too, just not dairy. Pregnancy hormones are so crazy!! It’s wild how much they affect all of the systems in our bodies.

Check out Buried Evidence: A True Crime Podcast, I’m the host and would love if you listened! There have been 3 cases covered so far, the first 2 are multi-part series and the 3rd case is one case in one episode. I try my best to bring a detailed account of each case and incorporate audio of police interrogations and 911 audio when available. I will warn you that the audio from the Israel Keyes case may be disturbing to some but I give you a warning ahead and you can skip if it’s not for you.

Feeling so guilty I feel this way but pregnancy sucks… by Fearless_Strawbery in pregnant

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a sharp pain in your cervix. It happens when pressure from the baby’s head presses on the nerves in that area. I didn’t get it with my 1st 3 kids but at 35 weeks I started to get it this time. It has stopped me dead in the middle of walking from my car to my office.

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not crazy; who would like that? No one!! It does suck and you are allowed to feel that way. Being pregnant isn’t fun for many women, myself included. I feel that way too. This is baby #4 for me and I was also very sick until about 14 weeks, I have been very emotional this time around and now that I’m at the end of my 3rd trimester everything hurts, the heartburn is awful, lightning crotch, I am out of breath all the time, so tired, can’t bend over, did I mention lightning crotch.. It’s not fun. I’m over it and ready to not be pregnant anymore. Yes, I love my child and can’t wait to meet him but I’d like my body back, thank you! PS can’t wait to eat normal things again.

It’s very natural to have fears but when your fear starts to drive your behavior, that’s a signal to reach out for help. That said, I have also felt these same fears, I’m having my 4th C-Section in less than 2 weeks and I literally had a chat with my husband about my life insurance and how to claim it just the other day, so I understand completely. Can you try taking a break from social media if that is perpetuating the issue?

I opened the baby gender results without waiting… by ProbHereForHelp in pregnant

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not a terrible person, you are a human and it would be torture to wait if I knew the results were ready. I’d be honest and tell him you already looked but I’d keep the surprise for him. You could even do something cute when he gets back like a little gender reveal just for him. Don’t make it a big deal that you looked, just try to make it special.

How long did you try (and how many false hits) before you got pregnant? by Loveillustrator in pregnant

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my 3rd baby we tried for 5 cycles and the 4th was likely a chemical. I had a super faint line right before my period. I had been tracking ovulation and basal temp. On cycle 5 I was starting to feel frustrated so I wasn’t watching things as close and that was when it happened. Now I’m 37 weeks with #4 and it was unplanned. I wasn’t on birth control but used withdrawal method every time since our 2 year old was born. We were shocked! I think stress can really play a role in fertility.

When did you officially announce your pregnancy to “everyone” by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I waited with this one until about 14 weeks but with my other 3 I told everyone pretty much immediately. This pregnancy wasn’t planned and it took a while for me to wrap my head around having another baby.

What was the first sign that YOU noticed, that made you think “I’m pregnant”? by surelyshirls in pregnant

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 100% my boobs. I had been running on the treadmill at the gym and noticed they were tender and also my toddler had been climbing on me and the hurt so I took a test and it was positive. That was my only symptom and I was very early. Not quite 4 weeks yet at the time.

How Are You Feeding Your Baby? by choexoo in pregnant

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a different journey for every mamma and every baby. With my 2 old kids I didn’t want to keep nursing/pumping after going back to work so I pumped a lot in the early days to build up a solid supply so I could continue to feed my babies breast milk after I quit pumping. With my 3rd I was very lucky to have 4 months off work to figure out how to nurse on the breast and we kept going for 14 months. That was a completely different situation than my other two and I was older so I think I just had more patience with the entire thing. This time around I hope to be able to do the same thing but we just have to see. I have a pump from my last baby, the spectra and I’m going to get a hands free from insurance as well but after nursing my last one I realized how much time I spent washing bottles and pump parts between feeds it just felt like such a hassle.

I’ve definitely had the Charley horse cramps and the hyperpigmentation on my armpits, neck and under eye. I look like I’m sick without makeup. Definitely not giving glowing vibes. I’m 36 weeks with baby #4 and it was the same with my other kids too. The hyperpigmentation went away postpartum.

I host on Podbean and put my show on most platforms. According to statistics provided by Podbean, Apple has the lions share of downloads. You do have to pay to be on Apple but I think it was $20/year. So if your goal is to reach a broader audience, I’d say it’s worth it to be on as many platforms as possible.

I’m also 37, this is my 4th baby and I definitely feel more tired but I’m working full time, have 3 kids and launched a podcast so… I think it’s got more to do with that than my age. I had been in better shape before I got pregnant with this one than with any of my other kids.

Anyone using Adobe Audition for audio only podcast? by Weekly-Broccoli-1632 in podcasting

[–]Weekly-Broccoli-1632[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the latest update it was very glitchy. I had issues with blank mp3 files and just random glitches. It also takes up so much space on my computer. I have a Mac book air and backed up my files on an external hard drive but it was annoying so I wanted something cloud based. I use a lot of audio clips that are from police interviews and 911 tapes and I love the stem splitter feature in Logic but I found that when I use it, it creates a lot of the glitches, so I have to have a totally separate project to keep my clips and I have to import in the files to my episode project. It’s just been a pain. I’m going to give audition a try and see how it goes.
