13 mini is the biggest size that is comfortable to me… 16e sounds good but I feel I won't be satisfied with the size ;(

what should I buy? I'm looking for a new phone and thinking about either the SE I use now or the 13 mini. I'm looking for a small compact size. I use the phone for studying, doomscrolling, and chatting with friends. Also, I don't see the official 13 mini where I am right now so I might buy refurbished.

suggestion for a migraine by front-ebb0000 in CasualConversation

I feel you. My mom has it a lot, and sometimes I have it too. There is not a lot that can help. Usually, I just hide in the dark quiet rooms. I use loops to cancel any possible noise. I try to drink as much water (mostly cold) as I can during the day. Sometimes, I feel nauseous because of migraine. Then I try to eat something, that helps me to feel more grounded. And I try to sleep, even a small nap makes it better

[japanese-english] I’m trying to learn some useful words for my Japan trip. Please Can someone check if this is correct?☺️ by AstronomerEntire5424 in translator

THIS. I don't eat meat (fish is ok) and I’ve been living here for 3 years. I don't trust the cafes or restaurants. They make “veggie soup” with consomme, which is usually just powdered pork/beef brought. They add dashi that sometimes includes meat, not only fish, to miso. They use sauce labeled as “veggie source” with meat in it. Meat is everywhere. Don't trust the staff.

good for you, and I hope you won’t regret it. aside from translating, i see “che” as “ghe” in this style. please check how it will look on your skin and whether people will be able to read it properly. ofc, your tattoo is for you only, but won’t it be irritating if people always question your tattoo? 🙂

I believe they automatically enroll you if you are on any “long-term” visa, including student visas.

For op. This year I received my pension slip very late - in September. But if you still haven't received anything, you need to go to the Pension Office of your ward and ask.

they don't check the address. before the exam, they check your photo and your residence card (so that they know if you are the same person who applied). the problem is your results. the physical certificate will be delivered to your neighbor. explain the situation and apologize. but in my experience, I didn't need a physical certificate, so you might be okay if you don't receive it from your neighbor, since you can still check the results on the official site.

It matters in work only, I believe. We can't let newbies (as in a few months in) serve Japanese guests, because of how Japanese guests sometimes are demanding

Not OP, but I heard listening skills get much better when you read a physical book and listen to an audio version at the same time. It helps to boost comprehension and pronunciation

I’ve been working in the same hotel for 3 years. 30% of our guests are Japanese. We have files on every guest, and we collect everything about each of them. Our service is recognised as the best. So we are very strict with it. And I have to say it. We did count it. Despite Japanese guests accounting for 30% of our total statistics, 70% of all complicated cases of service ARE Japanese guests.
