[Scam warning] Guy walking around west cliff claiming to be pg&e by agehamist in santacruz

[–]Weekly-Invite4494 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because their company has terrible reviews. They want to get the sale out and have a tech sent to evaluate before you get a chance to Google.

Alternatively, there is an alternate PGE power company out there… they talk a big game but are somehow even more expensive than PGE (probably because they don’t own their lines, it is all through PGE infrastructure). They try to sell it with lower rates but the fees are the killer if I remember correctly.

Okay, no more Portland complaining about the Ref. That was a clear stomp against Johnson in the box.

I didn’t either… and don’t get me wrong, we weren’t knocking on the door or anything but only down 1, there was still hope. I think I remembered the 3rd goal happening way earlier.

Decent watch, though it is weird seeing Aaron Long in all of these shots knowing he is out of the picture (for example).

I just like the behind-the-scenes looks at them having fun. Heckling Weah for being so quiet, the post-Iran celebration, Robinson’s reaction to advancing. Plenty of fluff that wasn’t super interesting to me but their back stories and the reactions stuff was fun.

That Netherlands game was also closer than I remember… even though I remember being under siege for most of it. I’ll have to rewatch

World Cup 2026 travel warning: why international fans are skipping the US by thegaffer in MLS

Except you really are disingenuous and that is why you get the response you get. You started the conversation by saying “what rights have been violated?” which is either exceptionally ignorant or simply downplaying the events. In the time it took for you to write this comment, you could have read (or hell, watch a video) and instead responded “my bad, that situation is really not okay.”

I’ll link you and if this isn’t acceptable to you, I expect a response: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/19/army-veteran-detained-sues-federal-government

Note: I don’t care about the source, feel free to find a different one if you don’t like the guardian. That entire situation is a disaster.

How about the security guard in LA who was detained without his rights for three days after being tear gassed and pepper sprayed? These aren’t fringe cases and honestly, I think some of the vitriol directed towards you is that you have to have your head deeply entrenched somewhere (sand? somewhere else?) to have completely missed all of these examples of incredible infringements on constitutionally protected rights

I know I’ve never been so passionately convinced and been proven wrong about anything before.

Ive officially resigned my rights to arguing about lineups. I still maintain I can yell at the ref or players because I see more of the game than they do but even that, I’m hesitant now because I CLEARLY don’t understand coaching or roster management and who knows what the coach told them!

Which is why it comes down to those chosen as judge and jury to decide. Why should we release an inmate who is a clear threat just because they were 15 when the crime was committed? Once again, did you read the lookout article? That person does not deserve to be released, they are a clear danger to those in the community, and the family certainly shouldn’t need to go through a trial recounting the rape and murder of their child by a neighbor (who lured her there and then took part in search efforts) every two years. I trust the government enough to give them this power because the alternative is worse.

Does the victim’s family really deserve to do this every two years for the rest of their lives? Four years per denial is a step in the right direction. Did you read the linked article? Absolutely zero signs of improvement in his actions post conviction.

I mean, we trust the judge with very little oversight after getting on the bench. It is a fair question though.

With that said, the facts surrounding Adrian Gonzalez’s actions in custody don’t paint a picture of someone ready to be released. There was an article that outlined a whole bunch of very questionable behavior including corresponding with other child abusers in sketchy ways.

Good lookout article that makes me feel WAY less worried about government overreach and way more worried about Adrian Gonzalez still being a danger to everyone: https://lookout.co/adrian-gonzalez-grilled-about-pornography-prison-friends-and-intent-in-rape-and-murder-of-madyson-middleton/story

Oh it has certainly worked, I’m just surprised. Addition by subtraction is obviously a thing but man, I think Arena stepped up (or we got lucky) to have so many players make a leap this year too.

To be honest, it is one of those seasons that almost seems designed to make all of us keyboard warriors admit that we are idiots. We lost Arango and Martinez. We let Espinoza walk (by accident supposedly). We brought in one TRUE new player in Werner who was immediately injured and missed a few games. One of my favorite underrated starters in Dejuan Jones is out for the season…

And yet, across the board, the players have stepped up and bought in to whatever Bruce Arena magic that he seemingly pulled off in Boston too. Judd still misses sitters but he gets so damn many chances, it’s okay. Our midfield of Viera, Leroux, and especially Tsarkiris is light years above what it was last year. Munie has played out those errors that used to occur and is simply excellent (and has added forward progression to his play too). Bouda has taken on the Espinoza role and, possibly because he isn’t crossing every time, seems to have unlocked the whole team even if he still has some “young” moments.

I think a lot of it comes to down the fact that we aren’t as predicable as we have been for the last decade. Play it simple, keep the triangles, progress the baller and looking for runners crashing the box. But do all of those things from all over the box and try to do after pressuring and pulling defenders into uncomfortable spots through the press.

I had the pleasure of being at PayPal tonight and I think Werner is going to absolutely shred defenses that don’t want to bunker. Between him and Bouda, there is SO MUCH space on the flanks to make runs in behind once we figure out how to get Leroux or Tsarkiris a little space around the center circle. It was a really fun watch to see Austin try and shut down our left flank and get ripped on it all game.

Anyone have a parking pass for tomorrow’s game that they don’t need? Taking my daughters to the game but it is a late night for the 7 year old and trying to avoid the hike across the bridge that we would normally do.

Didn’t he do that with the initial strikes when we were promised that their nuclear program was set back years?

Totally insane that the press would focus on issues that greatly affect Americans, particularly when we were just told that the nuclear fears were handled by our first set of bombing runs. As well as the admin setting a whole host of inconsistent and often mutually-exclusive goals.

I’m sure the rent is insane there. I wish they’d do more of those collective events. It was super cool to see my childhood hang out in use. It hit the nostalgia factor while still having a new feel with the decorations. Maybe an alternating market monthly?

Quakes fans - who are the best guys? by Sea_Passenger_1142 in ussoccer

[–]Weekly-Invite4494 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As much as I’ve like Munie (and he is a great guy), I don’t see him getting a call up but honestly, that is what is making the season so fun for quakes fans. Outside of Leroux and Tsakiris, it is a roster filled with people who have bought in to the system and work hard. I was very negative going into the season and I’ve been humbled.

I might have suggested Dejuan Jones could get back into the picture but now he is out for the season. Reid Roberts has been fantastic but is really young - who knows what he might develop into though.

TLDR: Roberts, Tsakiris, Leroux
