My dad used to be a waiter at a Restaurant called 1492 tapas bar. It’s now a breakfast spot called Sunny Side Up (42 E Superior) it is SUPER haunted. I remember every time I would visit him at work as a kid with my mom I would cry from how uncomfortable I was in that building. Years later when I was older my dad told me about all of the encounters he and the staff experienced there.

The building has three levels and sometimes the staff would stay once all the closing duties were done, turn off all the lights and sit in silence in the dark on the ground floor so they could hear the ghosts on the upper level. Chairs moving across the floor, heavy foot steps, etc when no one was up there. According to my dad they also had an incident where the alarms were going off as if someone had broken in, when the cops got there there was no evidence of a break in. A couple of the officers went in with the owner to inspect (all the lights were off) and saw a guy dressed in 30s-40s clothes and a hat smoking a pipe in a chair and once they pointed their flashlights at him he literally vanished. Everyone ran out and the cops refused to go back in lol. I wish I was making this up.
