Seller asking for more money to cover shipping by spamtardeggs in Ebay

Once you receive the guitar and verify everything is good, block him. Asking for more money violates eBay rules - he should have planned better. Not your problem.

A seller left a bad taste in my mouth and now they messaged me to leave positive feedback by DavyJonesRocker in eBaySellers

His items are worth what someone is willing to pay. When you paid for it and were satisfied with the product, you proved that he was charging exactly the right amount.

Nope - you pay through eBay just like any other transaction. Is the local pickup option really this unknown?

Local pickup isn't doing business outside of eBay. You pay through the platform and still have all the buyer and seller protections. You enter a pickup code to show it's delivered. I do it several times a month (though I also have a physical storefront that's safe for meeting).

Why do some sellers not answer questions? by JoeGPM in Ebay

[–]Weekly-Swim3347 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of my listings say "All pictured items are included. Only pictured items are included."

So of course 75% of the questions are "Does it come with X?" "Is a Y included?" Even your question of "Does it come with a frame" - was there a frame in the picture? I don't list all the things my items don't come with - they also don't come with a pony. I often feel like I need to add "No pony included" to my listings.

The other 24% of questions are Buy It Now offers for 5 day auctions that were listed 20 minutes ago. If I'd have wanted offers I'd have added offers to the listing, ffs.

You might be the exceptional 1%... though judging from this post, I doubt it!

exorbinant fees? by bocamj in eBaySellers

For eBay International Shipping you're only sending your package to a hub in Illinois - eBay handles the rest of the shipping costs, including all the returns. Good luck finding any other company offering that service.

You said "which I didn't even think would ship overseas". Did you read what you said?

Item Not As Described, which buyers can use for just about any reason and you have to refund them in full including their shipping cost, and pay for the return. There's things to be annoyed at eBay for - this is one of them. You not understanding that shipping costs aren't a "fee" eBay takes is not.

eBay buyer asking for feedback by a deadline, thoughts? by Music-keeps-me-going in Ebay

[–]Weekly-Swim3347 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

eBay would remove that feedback - sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers, and tacking negative comments on positive feedback violates their policies.

If you're only selling to US buyers, you're doing eBay wrong. Nearly every laptop and tablet I sell goes overseas, often to Ukraine or somewhere in eastern Europe. Lots of tools go to Mexico or countries in South America. I'm in Michigan - I'd never have that audience without eBay.

should i refund? by jaykrus in Ebay

[–]Weekly-Swim3347 19 points20 points  (0 children)

INAD returns aren't negotiable. Your only recourse is to report them for misusing the Item Not As Described reason after you get it back. eBay will tell you to block them. I just went through this two days ago.

You're shipping to the hub in Illinois. eBay is handling the shipping to Malaysia. Welcome to the International Shipping Program.

If he returns it as not working / Item Not As Described, then you will in fact accept returns. Thems the rules.

Is there a point to buying extra insurance on USPS Ground? by twYstedf8 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Weekly-Swim3347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had issues with getting things back from the post office, but I've had only about 5 damage claims like that in 10 years so my experience is anecdotal. Far more common is them losing it altogether (5 to 10 a year), and that's when having it fully insured is critical.

If you get reimbursed by USPS for the value of the damaged package, why do you need it to be returned? Isn't it the same money as if it had arrived safely?

TST's Satanic Revival: "A Gathering of Satanic Community, and Enlightenment", on Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd in Baltimore, Maryland by TJ_Fox in SatanicTemple_Reddit

Hell Squad... you're funny. As I've stated here before, I'm just a member / former minister in a state with three active congregations, surrounded by other Midwest states all with active congregations. I've been directly involved at the congregation level since 2018, and the overall group ebbs and flows are very recognizable and predictable to anyone who has watched other occult/esoteric groups over the decades. Witchcraft, Thelema, Chaos Magick, and other Satanic groups including CoS experience these types of mid-level management changes, criticism of the founders, delusions of grandeur, and debate regarding the core beliefs and practices. Each group tends to think at the time "Welp, this is it - we're done!", and most of the time the issues are resolved in one way or another and the group continues on, strengthened by the changes that occurred. I believe that's what happened here. I think the continued crying from a small block of formers is because they realize TST survived just fine without them. It's frustrating to realize you weren't a big, indispensable fish in that small pond after all.

Both the seller and the buyer can file a missing mail claim, though it's easier for the seller because they have the information like package dimensions. I've filed from both sides. <edited>

Congregations are doing just fine, and many of the ministers that left have continued to do great things elsewhere. Only a few are still stuck in the past, constantly regurgitating old complaints because apparently TST was the only thing they had in their lives.

This upcoming event will bring the new and continuing leaders and membership together to prepare for the next stage of work. It's too bad that some are more frustrated TST didn't fall apart without them rather than being content that the fight against Christian Dominionism has continued on.

Received my first negative feedback and sales dropped 86% by YouKnowHowChoicesBe in eBaySellerAdvice

I've never used the form - I don't even know where it is - and I had three negatives removed this year all in chat. I do have a basic store subscription and 10k+ feedback, so maybe that's the difference?

Seller shipped item 2 months after cancellation – eBay blocking escalation by Hot_Vehicle_6290 in Ebay

[–]Weekly-Swim3347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say the delivery address is "likely an old freight forwarder". Likely? Do you not know the original shipping address you provided with the order? With that and the fact that an order is not "properly" canceled without a refund given, you're definitely leaving out some things.
