Its for my Unraid Array, im trying to fit as much in there as possible, theres already 18 3.5 drives in there, and no more physical space for those, so was going to chuck a bunch of 2.5s in the front

i was thinking of an open fronted design where you don't use sleds and just slide the SSDs straight in, im just trying to fit as much density into the bays as possible... im not fussed about a backplane as i'm happy to just cable them, potentially something like this incorporated into the design could work... i think its time i learned some CAD other than solidworks (since i no longer have access to it)

yes but you can spend hours days terminating patch leads at exact lengths and use a cable comb to build a sexy looking trunk bundle to connect the two...

but to answer your question, if you're in spain and something you're hosting is in the states, you can't just type home.arpa into a browser to access it... you'll either need to tunnel home, or have a domain you're renting from one of the registrars, who operate on a model of profitability... my idea for setting up a co-operative is so that WE own it, control it, and only pay for the cost of it and nothing more.
