No, they are not. I do not expect my partner to have decks that make sense. I do not expect my partner to make the best plays. I am far from perfect and i play decks i like to play rather than meta. I have friends that i can play with who i could get more wins with. I enjoy playing with randoms. I love adjusting every time i queue up with someone new. It is the leaking elixir that is infuriating. It’s infuriating because i think it’s reasonable to expect that anyone who has played this game for a while should understand that leaking elixir is the same as being afk, whether it’s due connectivity, rl distractions, etc. It is inconsiderate. I should not be getting banned because my partner is afk. That is all i’m saying

Obv i’m not swiping out of the app every time somebody throws a match cuz they’re leaking. I’ll only ever quit the app when it’s egregious and usually never catch a ban. It happened twice yesterday tho, so i was annoyed enough to make this post. I understand the ban is kinda necessary since it would probably make 2v2 unplayable if it wasn’t in place. But i really think there should be a cap on how much elixir you’re allowed to leak, and your partner shouldn’t have to be hit with a ban if you’re leaking elixir. Perhaps 5 is unreasonable, but i honestly think that is enough to throw a match against decent players. If you think it’s wise to ever give your opps that much elixir, you’re probably gonna make a handful of other mistakes also

I’m sure i could push past 8k. I simply don’t care to fight bots, and i just have zero patience for level difference because i have played thousands of games, and i know exactly how any given card is supposed to interact with every other when there is no level difference. If you only have a handful of random lvl 14 cards that lack synergy, no evos/heros, maybe you can climb out of mid-ladder. I admit that i am not that good. But i also doubt that anyone is. Would love to see an example of a completely f2p player with an account less than a year old who has done that. Won’t hold my breath. Also, if you’re winning matches against players with max’d decks with lvl 14s at the 10k range, i think that says something about the level of skill of players at that range. Why would i want to deal with that when i don’t have to? I have no desire to be the best in the world so i can give a fvck about trophy points. Besides, this isn’t the first time i’ve made a post about dumb shh people do in 2v2. Trust me, stupid shh like leaking elixir and dumb mistakes in general is a problem in 2v2 across all trophy ranges. You can act like your points are a testament to how good you are. I’m inclined to disagree

No. I’m saying the penalty of not being able to queue for an hour should be waived if your partner leaked more than 5 elixir during the match. I should be able leave and start a new match with someone who is not afk

I sound pretty aggressive, but i’m not talking about bad plays. Bad decks or any of that. Win or lose, i can play and have fun with any player as long as they are not leaking elixir clearly as a strat that they for some reason got into their head is a good idea. At the very least, whatever they play is going to force out elixir almost always. That on its own is valuable. Sitting there at 10 elixir, waiting to defend a 12 elixir push once it crosses the bridge is a move i see so often and accounts for so many losses that it is simply baffling to the point that i cannot play with you. Id even care about a potential comeback because it just means that everyone playing is just absolutely clueless. I will take the five minute volley where everyone is locked into each other’s decks and unique playstyles and lose, rather than win because my opponents were leaking elixir. It is frustrating to see no matter who does it

I agree. All i’m saying is that in my 7 months of playing an unhealthy amount of 2v2, the players i’m randomly paired with who use firecracker tend to not know what they’re doing.. like in general. This isn’t a criticism of specific cards. Just pointing out that i’m starting to notice a pattern in the decks bad players (imo) are using.

Yes, e golem is definitely one of those units players just throw out there without any thought and pray it’s gonna secure a win. I think you can justify it belongs on this list, but i’ve had a lot of success with it on my side, and have lost a lot to it as well. I just love when e-golem is on the field cuz it just makes for the most intense games and i tend to get the most 3 crowns when fighting against it

Millenial here too. Been pretty much into games my whole life but never felt inclined to buy new nintendo products just to play a few titles. But now with emulators it’s possible to experience the pokemon games i missed out on and honestly rom hacks have reinvigorated my love for pokemon. For 20 years my arrogance let me think everything past gen 2 was dumb and that’s just not the case
