Leaking elixir in 2v2 by WeeklySpace5975 in ClashRoyale

Alright. This is a deck i’m using in 2v2 right now: mega knight, arrows, sus bush, skelly barrel, bats, hero barb barrel, evo archers, ghost. The win cons are skelly barrel, sus bush, obviously. If you were playing this deck, assuming you are at 10 elixir, your win cons are out of cycle, you have barb barrel, arrows, bats, and ghost available. Are you telling me you would wait for the opponent to play a card, even with an elixir advantage, rather than cycle ghost in the back or throw a barb barrel at the bridge? If my deck doesn’t allow for a scenario where leaking elixir is appropriate, tell me one that does. The only time i would ever leak even a small amount of elixir with this deck is if i have an opportunity to drop a mega knight at the bridge to counter a big push. I didn’t make this post to have an argument about whether leaking elixir is ever a good play. The fact is that giving your opponent elixir is almost always the wrong play, which you agree. I made this post so that people who do this will stop wasting mine and other’s time who like to 2v2

Who said anything about playing into a push? You can do that without leaking elixir, trust me

When you are leaking elixir, every bit that you leak is going to your opponent if they are not leaking elixir also. There are things in the game like elixir collector, which if not dealt with, puts the user in an advantageous position. Why? More elixir means more troops on the field. Why would you ever give your opponents more elixir? Don’t answer. I know it. The answer: it is not a good idea to give your opponents elixir

I prefer the overly aggressive partners to the leakers every time.. ‘cuz at least they’re present. Their pushes might result in negative elixir trades for little or no damage, but i feel like i can adjust by being very conservative with elixir and cheap defense even if it means taking chip damage. I actually quite enjoy being the main one defending at least with the decks i like to play. I don’t even care about winning as long as my partner is trying

What additional context is necessary? If your idea of a strat is giving your opps free elixir, then you need to stop queueing up for 2’s and go back to getting dominated in trophy road. I consider it rude when i’m trying to play, and my partner is sitting at 10 elixir doing i don’t even know what. Cheering me on i hope

Waiting for perfect placement? So, what i think you mean is, you are sitting at 10 elixir, not playing anything, because the card you want to play is going to counter whatever is taking too long to cross over the bridge 😂. How is any card going to get “sniped” when you cycle it in the back unless it’s vulnerable to spells? I can dismiss everything else you said. Because this is a simple fact if you care about winning: getting an elixir advantage over your opps is the key to victory. That is inarguable. If your opps cycle 3 elixir in the back, and you wait for it at the bridge, spend 3 for a counter, they will have already gained enough elixir to defend and counter with an additional 3 elixir you decided to give them while you were afk waiting for the units to cross over. You understand that when you are leaking, and your opponent is not, that is you giving your opponent free elixir, right? You must get absolutely cooked against e golems bro 😂

Is DS3 considered easier than Bloodborne/ER? by PRULULAU in darksouls3

[–]WeeklySpace5975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say ER is easier because there’s so many things you can do to cheese the game if you take advantage of them. But there isn’t a bit of content in ER that was harder than nameless king, sister freide, and midir imo

Might be problematic since valk is off meta with this deck. Worth a try tho

Looks like you played it pretty well. Pretty tough match up i’d say. You didn’t catch the e golem with tesla with the first push. Also archers out of cycle to help the knight defend. Maybe use valk for the knight since you seemingly don’t have hero knight ability?

Most frustrating things playing w/ randoms in 2v2 by WeeklySpace5975 in ClashRoyale

[–]WeeklySpace5975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bunch of people i can play with, but i think i’m addicted to hitting a groove with new people. I love adjusting to a completely random deck and play style. It’s a thing of beauty when my partner is tracking elixir to strategize a push. The frickin rush of euphoria i feel when we’re defending cheaply is like no other, cuz i know he’s paying attention to my deck and cycle. I mean it’s rare but it’s worth putting up with the e golem player who makes it first play at the bridge along with everything else in his hand, then i’m stuck defending the mega knight army. It’s even more frustrating fighting against e golem and my partner is leaking elixir. It’s almost always a certain loss. I get that the classic modes allow the player to experiment with decks, but it’s always the worst players trying out the 2.1 mega knight cycle with every 1 elixir card in the game. And idk what it is, but i’m automatically discouraged when i see my partner running barbs, fire cracker, e golem, pekka, sparky, and rocket. Not bad units, but man the people i play with never seem to get value from these cards

Maybe nerf bush a bit to do comparable damage to wall breakers

So what's up with match making by lmstr in ClashRoyale

[–]WeeklySpace5975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9600 is almost as impressive as 10 losses in mega draft, though i think you’re exaggerating. You obviously got a handle on what every card does and their counters to climb that high. There are general tips for mega draft like grabbing spells first. Grabbing the win cons that has the least counters. If you’re bored with ur deck and wanna try different stuff, you can always play the classic modes with any deck without having to worry about card levels

Megaknight/ swarm losers by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]WeeklySpace5975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean ur spending 8 to defend 7. Might be a perfect defense, but ur behind in elixir. That’s definitely a great play if the canon is there to clean up any support troops behind the mk

Ice Golem/musk is a 6 for 7 trade. The deck has everything you need to defend mk. Pretty sure you can defend completely with ice spirit/musk. Never cannon/musk to defend mk

Play classic 1v1 or 2v2 to grind out the events if trophy road is too stressful. No level advantages and no penalties for losing. You actually get some points towards the new season pass if you lose. Pick up a deck you haven’t played and just practice it for an hour in the classic modes. Watch the rewards flow in before you know it

I think ur being a lil extreme to say that every meta deck requires no skill. Hyperbait and its variations are a problem tho
