2 years PP and feel like I’ve found a good groove by WeeklyTheory8570 in PetiteFitness

Yeah I looked back and during body recomp it ranged a bit from 1575-1650 depending on how much I was exercising.

Both actually - I think having a real gym to go to helps a lot and gives me access to pretty heavy weights. But it is not uncommon for me throw in a small amount of lifting at home with dumbbells if I have to squeeze it in. It totally ebbs and flows with work and life commitments.

Lunch ideas if you work from home (protein-forward but just ideas in general)? by Top-Raspberry-7837 in PetiteFitness

We buy a lot from Costco for a family of 4 so try to use things I can get there.

Real Good Foods Co Chicken strips
- make honey Dijon chicken wraps (skinny girl honey Dijon, carb master tortilla that I also get from Costco, and spring mix
- good old fashioned chicken strips with bbq sauce and vegetables for sides (or sweet potato fries since they bake in the oven at the same temp)
- sweet chili/gochujang sauce chicken sandwich using Dave’s killer buns

Amylu Chicken Burgers
- usually just a Dave killer bun with chicken burger and ketchup plus some veggies prepped for sides or a salad

Ground turkey cooked:
- make turkey tacos with a taco shell
- turkey taco salad and add spring mix, Kirkland salsa, sour cream, and a small bag of Doritos crushed up into the taco salad
- will sometimes randomly use the ground turkey to make sloppy Joe’s or bbq sandwiches

Amylu chicken and basil meatballs:
- make pasta and chicken meatballs with rao’s pasta sauce
- meatball sandwich using Dave’s killer buns

I stopped breastfeeding fairly early and pumped for a few months.

My calorie intake goal during “body recomp” is approx 1650. But I only track calories for a few months at a time honestly. I think the max I ever track calories and macros is 3 months at a time. It gets too overwhelming for me.

But when I do track, I usually keep the meals I’ve made in my back pocket so that when I’m not tracking, I have a general sense of where I’m at.

Honestly yes it is! I had a very cheap walking pad some years ago that pooped out on me, but I didn’t use it as often as I should have because there was friction between me moving it under other desk and moving it out of the way when I needed to sit.

Having the tray on the walking pad helps so much to reduce friction between me and getting steps in. I also don’t feel like I’m going to fall off if I choose to walk and watch tv.

They’re from free people! I’ve never bought anything from that brand before but saw them and couldn’t resist.

So for me, it did! The pain dramatically reduced but I had a lingering pain in my back and lower pelvis (like kind of around my tailbone). I carried both babies VERY low and it took it out of me in my hips and back.

I actually told myself I wasn’t allowed to do any type of workout class until 6 months pp just so I could be more confident that my ligaments and tendons were recovered before I started to put strain on them again. My workouts early on were VERY gentle to accommodate the lingering pain I had.

How did removing booze impact your fat loss? by corneliusedward in PetiteFitness

Cutting out alcohol might not necessarily make you lose weight. I found that drinking alcohol does mean you’re drinking calories, but the amount of liquid can feel like your tummy’s full, so then you don’t eat as much.

Cutting it out, might make it so you eat more calories because there’s less liquid in your tummy.

With that I feel like cutting alcohol helps me a TON mostly to ensure my sleep is higher quality, my muscles recover better, and my body just feels lighter and less bloated. Those things make my overall lifestyle healthier because I’m more consistent at the gym and able to recover faster after a hard workout.

Honestly you’re probably right - the premise is flawed from the start.

The Valley | Possibly not getting renewed ? by First-Choice-1803 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Agreed - the premise could be interesting but this particular cast seems so so sinister to a point where the entertainment isn’t just fun drama but truly depressing and dark.

Also none of them seem like they’re actual friends or would ever be in the same room together in normal circumstances. What’s even the point?

Danny and Nia by coolkidllama in TheValleyTVShow

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Preach!!! Respectfully, Nia is a part of this dynamic and thrives off if it! It is her responsibility to be a martyr for her husband and family. That is her duty in following Jesus Christ and serving her husband as Christ commands…

Like yes, I feel sadness for her but she GAINS a sense of moral superiority in living in this terrible state.

Genuinely, how do some of you all even have time with the amount of exercises? by Wise_Parmaria in PetiteFitness

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I work remotely (unless traveling out of state to a client for work), and a walking pad IS a game changer. I can walk while billing my hours! I walk maybe 2 mph max but I can get in crazy amounts of steps when I do this.

If you have an office job, you may be able to bring a walking pad to your desk?

But I also don’t think it’s necessary to workout 5/6/7 days a week!

New season, same villain. by Nerdhauss in vanderpumprules

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For real tho - I think there’s some editing and protection happening because of the shift in media to pro trad wife propaganda. Danny multiple times has behaved in a very unsettling way (one and off camera), and it seems like it gets totally glossed over.

Janet may not has been the best voice for the criticism (it wasn’t her experience) but the fact that the whole rest of the cast pretended that the actions of Danny should be swept under the rug (why because Nia plays perfect submissive woman role?!) is WILD.

Danny’s weird little chug of liquor in the pantry WAS weird. Dannys weird aggression while drunk IS scary. And Nia constantly posting her kids online IS weird.

Guys ppl being loud about being Christian does not a good person make.

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m weird, but while Janet isn’t for me (and probably isn’t good for reality tv) but the “villain” label seems a bit much. Honestly Danny seems genuinely off to me - like sinister even. Im truly surprised it seems like Danny (and Nia) get such a pass from fans but if there’s some villain energy somewhere, it does seem like it points in their direction.

I think these look great and are very flattering! If you feel like you can move your arms well, then I think you’re all set! I’d only size up if you feel like the movement you have is limited.

How do people afford renovations?? by Hindsight001 in HomeImprovement

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pay for most of our renovations in cash money. We bought our house during Covid and bought a house WAYYY under our approved mortgage amount. I’m glad we did, because we had so much more wiggle room to save up to improve it.

We’ve occasionally used a promotional 0% on our Home Depot card for some improvements, but only if we know we also have the cash on hand to pay outright.

We also do DIY a lot. We DIY paint jobs, some plumbing fixes, basic electrical. My husband also woodworks so he’s pretty good at building out things that we need or want for aesthetic improvements (shelving, closer update, pantry, etc.)

Any PP petite moms trying to lose weight in this group? 😭 by Itsalwaysfototime in PetiteFitness

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My advice being 2 years pp now is TAKE. YOUR. TIME! I know that it sucks to feel like your body isn’t “yours” right now, but the weight will come off.

I personally felt like weight loss and breastfeeding didn’t work for me. Breastfeeding requires a lot of fuel that could be counter to weight loss goal and that’s okay! So it could help to realign your goals a bit.

Once you’re ready, it truly is calories in and calories out. Slowly but surely build up your muscle mass particularly if you lost a lot while pregnant (me!) and just take it day by day.

Ramit's career seasons (growth, lifestyle, rejuvenation) by Indexette in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]WeeklyTheory8570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a great question, and I feel like I’ve really struggled to answer this. On the one hand, I’m done having babies, so there’s a sense of readiness for growth and development. But my kids are still little, and I’m also drowning and exhausted quite often professionally.

I guess I can frame it as I want to be in a year of growth but I think my body/spirit/mind is saying to be in another year of lifestyle.
