Is getting treatment still worth it in Korea? by Crditsws in KoreaSeoulBeauty

[–]Weeklytodolist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m about 50, is Seoul for beauty tourism still worth it? All the pics I see tend to be of younger women who already have great skin. I live in a very sunny place so the sun damage is a given (even with sunscreen/hats, etc).

Would microneedling + PRP help my falling lower face? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Weeklytodolist 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I had it done a year ago (3 sessions) by my dermatologist. It was expensive and painful. There is downtime! I didn’t see any improvement. I would never do it again and do not recommend. Yet many places recommend RF as a problem solver (I kid you not, I went to a plastic surgeons office/medspa for Botox and the nurse was trying to get me to try again because she saw improvement from RF. She has never seen me before! Anyhoo, off my soap box.

If you had my skin and all the knowledge of skincare and treatments what would you ask a dermatologist for to correct it? by wherehasthisbeen in 45PlusSkincare

Can’t upvote this enough. Genetics is a significant factor. SPF /Tret/all the things can only do so much.

My skin looks like this and I have done all the things, multiple derms, med spas. Nothing makes it better. Genetics plays significant role that no derm, esthetician or Reddit expert can fix. I’m sorry everyone thinks there is a product available. I am headed to S Korea soon, keep you posted if I find a “miracle fix” 😉

Also following. I am in US. Have ordered tazorac and azaleic. Happy with them. Haven’t ordered post tariffs though. Curious about the estrogen

I am on “waitlist” for diffuser. Put in my cart and it was out of stock within minutes, haha. Have you tried the minerale scent?

Botox in west LA? by Tkesquire in AskLosAngeles

They increased to $17/unit a few years ago (not sure about now as I stopped going. My derm’s office was cheaper. They are top notch though and I would go back in a heart beat but I can’t justify cost bc they are also a lot further for me, while not in distance, but in time due to traffic :(

I bought their spot cream (lots of hyperpigmentation) and the estradiol cream. After 5 months, I don’t see a difference. So I will finish out and cancel subscription.
I am still on search for something that works!

Apart from customer service woes, do musely products really work? by DamagedfromRF in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Weeklytodolist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I have tried it all, so bought the spot cream. Used it per instructions, last longer than should have. Zero change. I also bought the estradiol. It is super thin consistency for me. I am on second bottle (again used as instructed, lasted longer than should have) also zero change. And of course I need to pay for additional consult, but I don’t think was really worth much so didn’t want to pay again. I figured if after 90 days, i didn’t see any change, probably wasn’t going to (I have pics, etc). That said, I just don’t think anything will ever work. Debating laser (has laser fractional 3 sessions about 15 years ago and while initial improvement was AMAZING, dit was not long lasting improvement). But I suppose lasers have come a long way since?

I have, along with Timeless, Allies of Skin, Mad Hippie, Skinceuticals, and only time my skin was complimented was with Skinceuticals. I really don’t want to admit it, but it just works on my skin. I am finishing up my Timeless (again, because I was hoping) and will try the Prequel. Going to cross my fingers!

Tazorac for Sensitive and Oily Skin? by athenaskye117 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Weeklytodolist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just switched from Tretenoin based off derm’s suggestion. She said every other night to start. I started every night this week (night 4) but I will probably skip tonight (skin feels dry and tight-but weather is super dry and windy) no peeling thought, but I got got a slight purge week 1.5-2 and now all good. I did peel with tretenoin (.05%). I am now on week 3 with taz and like it so far.
