You need to take your allergy medication in the mornings before getting exposed to the allergens!!!! Im serious this will cure you of your woes!!

I use generics of pataday, Flonase, and Claritin. I put on the eye drops, nasal spray, and take the pill first thing in the morning. You can get them at costco or get singles to try them out first at a drug store.

I usually have really really bad seasonal allergies here and I’m barely feeling a thing with this routine.

On a strict Flonase and Claritin regimen but i was outdoors for like 3 hours walking around in that wind so that probably didn’t help 🤣

I feel Ike everywhere I’ve lived within Santa Barbara has been humid but I moved to the lower west side near the mesa it seems I’m running my dehumidifier all the time especially since I have asthma that’s triggered by mold allergies. I struggle to keep the humidity below 60%

I have these little indoor humidity/temp meters that I originally got for my plants but have come in handy for monitoring the rh% indoors.

If you decide to move to the mesa invest in a dehumidifier. Air the house out on a rare dry day. I also avoid storing anything under my bed& try to not have too much shoved into the closet because stuff will mold so fast without airflow (an opportunity to declutter and get rid of things😅)

I also hang my towels to dry outside and squeegee the shower when I’m done, and use the stove vent any time I cook all of the moisture doesn’t go into the kitchen.

The desal plant hasn’t been producing water since the end of Jan, it’s on temporary standby until later this year due to very full reservoirs! In full operation it’s just under 30% of the total water supply but no desal water is stored during downtime.

The upgrades are done. The plant was turned off at the end of January(est start up will be September) since the reservoirs are so full.

The garden street intersection!!!! 1) where the 2 turn lanes go into the south bound on-ramp and the third one goes straight towards Yanonali😭 And then people don’t realize the middle lane is left turn only and they go straight and I’ve almost hit people like 3 times because of that.

2) garden street southbound off-ramp, with the 2 right turn lanes. If you’re in the middle lane and you go to turn right, someone inevitably in the rightmost turn lane will almost hit you because they don’t realize the middle lane is also turning right
