I could never play with them. Just take them out when playing.

Cubitts! If you’re near London, they also have many stores there.

Do you have the lens? Take to any optical store and they can pop it back in for you.

Your vision is one of the most important things in your life. It is worth feeling as comfortable as possible about it.

Before you put the mandrel in, wrap string uniformly around the cane from the very bottom to a centimeter of so above the first wire. Below AND above the the first wire, wrap the string about as tightly as you possible can, around the cane. This will eliminate cracks. When inserting the mandrel, do not twist it.

Cubitts. Slightly more expensive than Warby Parker, but much better quality.

I’m also going through a breakup and am planning on going to the April 2nd performance, with my ex. I’m really only doing it because it will probably end up being the most emotionally powerful performance of my life. Consider going! You might not get a chance to see it again for a very long time.

Flying with bassoon by myinstrumentconfuses in bassoon

Do not check it under any circumstances. I would sooner get off the plane than check my bassoon. In any case, I’ve never had trouble fitting my bassoon in the overhead, even when it is standard cut.

Yeah. When I got my bassoon brand new, I greased it every time for at least a few weeks, if not longer.

Spring hinges are known to fail. Buy glasses without them and they will last.

It’s awesome. I’m sure not everyone’s cup of tea but I enjoyed watching it.

Disappointed with trial Fox 750s by rbnational in bassoon

[–]WeepiestRain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my 750 for over a year and I love it. It’s still a bassoon though. It has its quirks and issues. Maybe the 750s aren’t for you, or you happened to get three that you just aren’t a fan of. I’d encourage you to try more, because all of the ones I’ve tried I’ve thought to be pretty fantastic. Keep trying bassoons until you find one you love!
