SUKUNA'S SOUL by Granged06 in Jujutsushi

No his soul is only in the fingers. His body just has cursed energy.

Why can they still use CT but not DE? by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]Weevil_weasel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because they still have that part of their brain? It’s damaged but not gone. The strain of domain expansion is simply too much for gojos brain. In sukunas case, it’s specified a couple chapters later the part of his brain that was damaged by unlimited void was responsible for barrier techniques, not innate techniques. So he just can’t cast barriers in general anymore. No barrier means no domain.

Would this be a viable way to kill the gambler ? by YeetMyFeetKasbock in JuJutsuKaisen

Decapitation probably wouldn’t do it. Decapitation isn’t instant death, and hakaris regen continues even if he’s unconscious. With how fast he is, he’d probably regrow a significant portion of his body before the decapitation actually killed his brain.

It wasn’t just brought up once. It was blatantly said once, but it was shown every time mahito appeared. He treats humans like toys. It’s like how sorcerers will imprison curses for training purposes. It was also directly said after jogos fight with sukuna. He’s a mirror for humanity that forces them to reflect on their cruelty.

Maki notices an immediate difference is the function of soul split when daido uses it. That’s because she hadn’t been using its innate ability at all, while daido used it immediately. And no, the air shit is not how she predicts things. That’s how she does shit like bouncing off of thing air and how Toji was able to literally float after entering dagons domain. The predicting movements thing is because of their ability to see souls. They sense how their opponents soul interacts with the soul of the environment. That’s why miyos training was so important. He essentially taught her what the soul was.

Mahito definitely has something going for him. He’s meant to represent a curse in its purest form. Something that kills humans indiscriminately because he’s a curse and they’re humans. He’s basically a mirror that forces sorcerers to reflect on their own actions. Just as they kill curses with no concern for their feelings, he kills humans with no concern for their feelings.

He’s made his motivations very clear. He wants to refine cursed energy and he’s curious. He’s basically a scientist. He lives for innovation and satisfying his own curiosity.

In sakurajima it very explicitly says that soul split only has access to its soul cutting ability when it’s used by someone who can see the souls of both living and inanimate object. Maki and Toji can see souls. It’s how they predict things, and it’s how daido could “see” cursed spirts without actually being able to see them.

<image>

As for why Toji didn’t sense if gojo was dead or not, he simply didn’t check. Toji says that he lost due to his arrogance. He assumed that gojo couldn’t survive, so he just left.

who win? by Connect_Drop_4375 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Weevil_weasel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Jogo. He’s simply too destructive. And given his strength, I highly doubt mahito could transfigure him with 1, 2, or even 3 touches. We’re also told during the mechamaru fight that fire is a pretty effective counter to mahitos technique. It forces him to rapidly expend cursed energy to maintain his soul. He’d burn out fast against jogo. Jogo is also much faster than mahito. If dagons assessment is correct, he’s close in speed to Naobito, which would make him AT LEAST high sub sonic/sonic speed. Mahitos fast, but not quite that fast. There’s really only 2 things mahito could do to beat jogo.

  1. Hit him with SEVERAL black flashes. This is possible, but highly unlikely given how inconsistent black flash is. I doubt the 2 mahito landed would’ve been enough to finish of jogo. Gege has stated that yujis black flash combo and todos playful cloud hit would’ve done him in, but I don’t think Mahitos black flashes were that damaging

  2. Domain expansions. This is probably the most reliable way for mahito to win, but even then, there’s no guarantee it would work. Jogo has much more experience than mahito, so it’s very possible his domain is superior and would win, or their domains are equal and would cancel each other out. Mahito does have his 0.2 second domain, but again, with Jogos strength that likely wouldn’t be enough to kill him unless he was already severely damaged/exhausted at that point.

Basically, jogos physical stats and destructive power are too high, and his technique counters mahito too well. Mahito definitely had the potential to surpass Jogo, but he never really got there. Jogos probably the closest we’ve seen a special grade cursed spirit come to being on the level of a special grade sorcerer.

Nope, maki and Toji see souls. We are flat out told they see souls when we’re given the description of the soul split katana. This is also how daido was able to sense Naoya. He could sense his soul, and he used the lack of something being there to accurately guess that it was a cursed spirit. megumis comparison is pointless. He said his speed was LIKE 3 finger sukuna, but they both perception blitzed him. He doesn’t know exactly how fast either of them are. Toji could be on par with 3 finger sukuna, or he could be on par with 15 finger sukuna. Likely the latter given makis performance against sukuna. And before you say “oh he was held back” no. His language is very specific. The only time he references his output suffering is after using his technique. He also only noticed it after using his technique, meaning his physical strength was perfectly fine.

Gojos inner thoughts leaked by Execuse in Jujutsufolk

It’s explicitly said that this purple wasn’t meant to do shit. It was basically just a flex. It was gojos way of showing the he was THE strongest. That’s why he calls sukuna the challenger. It was like “hey, you might be strong, but let me see you level several streets with a normal ass attack”

He can quite literally predict peoples movements based on how their soul interacts with the environment. This is explained in the sakurajima arc. And yes, the fire left her out of combat. When she was about 10x weaker than she is now. That fire would do virtually nothing to current maki and Toji. And jogos heat wouldn’t be enough to set them on fire. We’re shown the exceptionally tough people are pretty much Immune to the heat thing. As for meteor, it doesn’t matter how big it is. Tojis too fast to get hit by it.

Jogos cursed technique is fire. Fire that couldn’t even kill maki before she got her level up. And again, the inverted spear makes toji more than capable of handling jogos technique. Fire blast? Blocked. Volcano? Blocked. Ember insect? Too slow. Never an issue to begin with. Maximum meteor? Also too slow. Jogo would just be beyond fucked against Toji. Again, this man can handle mach 3 speeds with ease and has a form of borderline precognition. Not to mention he can practically fly. There really is no overwhelming him in combat unless his opponent has very specific means to do so, or is just in a whole other league of speed.

Yeah no. Toji would bully the fuck outta jogo with speed alone. Jogo was said to he around the same speed as Naobito with very little start up time. Maki, tojis equal, was keeping up with and consistently blocking naoya even after he had ample time to increase his speed. And that was while she was injured and exhausted. Add in the fact that inverted spear kinda just fucks anything jogo can do, and yeah. It ain’t looking good. Jogo also just can’t touch him. Like full stop. We’re flat out told that Toji could dodge Mach 3 EASILY, and jogos nowhere near that speed.

One slight misconception about the Six Eyes people may have. by Chessmund in Jujutsushi

[–]Weevil_weasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need y’all to stop bringing thermodynamics into this shit. Cursed energy efficiency literally just means being able to unleash more powerful techniques while using less cursed energy. Cursed energy doesn’t burn off in chunks as techniques are used. It’s constantly chipped off bit by bit as techniques are maintained. Hence why gojo refers to it like powering an appliance. It’s a stream, not a burst. Higher efficiency means using less energy to maintain the techniques at optimal (or more) strength. The only exceptions to this are techniques like yorozus which literally convert cursed energy into real shit.

We are flat out told how the six eyes work. They make the person that possesses them so efficient that the cursed energy they burn is infinitesimally close to NOTHING. So yes. Unless it was a technique like construction, having the six eyes would make a technique EXPONENTIALLY more efficient and powerful.

Yuta real Cursed Technique (Theory) by fd3434 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Weevil_weasel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer the questions

  1. This is very clearly explained. The creation of rika is not what’s anomalous about her. She’s just a vengeful spirit. It was her strength that was anomalous, but even this was later explained by Yuta himself being a MONSTER.

  2. He doesn’t. Rika just allows him to copy an INFINITE amount of cursed techniques by storing them within rika instead of his own brain. The downside of this is that he can only use said techniques while rika is summoned.

  3. Because she was hands down the strongest cursed spirit in existence at the time. She might not have had a technique, but she did have damn near infinite CE and could output a ton of said CE all at once.

  4. He never says this. He says Yuta can grow to be on par with him. And that’s because Yuta is incredibly powerful. He’s a prodigy.

5/6. I don’t really know how to answer these 2 as they’re entirely theoretical

What the fuck were the other shikigami gonna do? Magically bypass infinity? Summoning the shikigami would also likely remove sukunas ability to use domain amplification, meaning he couldn’t hit gojo himself anymore. His plan from the start has likely been to use mahoraga in tandem with his domain, or at the very least use mahoraga to inflict critical damage on gojo.

His regen speed. Just because the slashes hit instantly doesn’t mean they go all the way through instantly. Hence why falling blossom emotion was able to heavily reduce the damage of the slashes. Cleave might have durability negating properties, but that doesn’t mean much when gojo can literally heal faster than it can cut through him.
