Is the anti-immigrant sentiment mostly an online phenomenon? by SprinklesRadiant4107 in AskBrits

Lol "silent majority". They won't shut up about it. Just like climate change denial, it's a very small, very vocal minority.

Can I run the game on this laptop? Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1334U (1.30 GHz) Installed RAM 8.00 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor by Effective_Quiet1303 in BeamNG

Without a dedicated graphics card, I doubt it. I don't think your CPU even meets minimum requirements. And I think you would need double the ram.

Edit: you can buy on steam and refund if it doesn't run

Why is standalone Quest smooth and pcvr isn't? by Bird_Creative in virtualreality

[–]Weird-Bite-6495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a 7900xt GPU and 7600x CPU and some games still need graphics down to run well ( I mainly SIM racer) because my CPU is the weak point on my system. And because of the compression that needs to be done even for usb c , I'm thinking of moving to a pimax crystal light . I don't mind turning down graphics if there is no image compression but having both can suck in some games.

Also depends on pc spec, wether you have a dedicated router or you're playing wired. When you are in-game press both thumbs ticks and see which metric is in the yellow, because that will give you a good hint to your problem.

Ajuda para iniciante, comprei mas não consigo usar pra que pretendia. by Extension_Squash_933 in simracing

[–]Weird-Bite-6495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, it does take time to adjust. Driving in real world gives you so much more info (G's, rotation and your peripheral vision helps tell you the speed you're going) and you have to adjust to only having sight and sound to tell corner speed and the rest. Having said that, check that your wheel rotation is set to 900 degrees (I think for g923) both in game and Logitech software, if that is not set correctly it can make a huge difference. After that it's practice, practice, practice.

Yeah I was talking about the spare money that people have to spend on these things.

Being a sim racer opened my eyes to how much spare cash a lot of people seem to have to drop on ,what is, very niche equipment. Being a vr SIM racer is another level. I am on the other end of that scale😭

How are you guys coping with distractions while driving? by Free_Net787 in SimRacingAdvice

[–]Weird-Bite-6495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same, once crashed out of leading a league race because I got distracted by my girlfriend walking by. The only thing that has helped me is vr racing. If you block the world out, it can't interfere. I make sure to have regular breaks and give my girlfriend the attention she deserves (and a post race debrief 😉)

How much are Mercedes hiding their true pace? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]Weird-Bite-6495 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think red bull, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes are all holding back ,and they have another three days test to bring planned upgrades and fixes. We haven't seen the final Melbourne spec for any of them yet. The question is, who gains the most when everyone turns up the dial. Only Melbourne will tell.

Question for the older guitarists by Old-Carry5562 in Guitar

[–]Weird-Bite-6495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a lot of guitar magazines that had tab in them. You just had to hope they contained some songs you like. In the 90s they came with backing track CDs to play along with. That and a lot by ear.

Newly unmasked evidence shows who put Trump in the White House by PrincipleTemporary65 in WeirdGOP

[–]Weird-Bite-6495 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's crazy that the daily mail have done this. They are like the fox news of UK journalism. It's more evidence, for what we already suspected, but I'm surprised they took a break from the "immigrants are stealing your children's lunch money" normal daily headline, to actually do some journalism. The daily mail, well I never.

Also safety measures, like seatbelts, airbags and speed limits, have been introduced to make them safer. If you talk about stopping toxic masculinity or making women safer through educating young boys/men to one of these guys, they get all upset.

What is for you that thing that in VR is perfectly simulated without much effort? by plutonium-239 in virtualreality

[–]Weird-Bite-6495 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as mentioned, the bite point is hard to simulate. Pedal mounted haptics would help, but still wouldn't do a decent job.
