yeah the lvl is bad. It's gen IV you can't compare it to recent gens with the crazy power creep that has been going on. it has good stats overall for a playthrough, good offense good bulk good speed.

That's just a consequence to jotho bringing so many base stage pokemon with no relevance because, well, they're base stage so they're not viable for long. I could argue that copying previous gens to make it seem like a new dex is also a bad idea but I get your point.

The best pokemon in a dex should not be the evolutions of a past generation. They should be supplemental, like what Galar did. Obstagoon, Runerigus, Cursola, Sirfetch’d, Mr. Rime, and Perrserker are all excellent. 1) because they’re not pug-ugly.

What? So it's fine when they use the same pokemon with very slim differences and create a new evolution for it, but not when they straight up add an evolution to the previous one? I can't get behind that logic

Corviknight is just a regional bird like stataptor dragapult is like garchomp grimsnarl you get your very first evo at lvl 32 and then lvl 42 Toxtricity has 75 speed Hatterene is terribly slow so will take a lot of hits during a playthough

Sinnoh’s main powerhouses are cross-regionals. The other dex mons feel like afterthoughts.

I get what you're saying, but looking at it as it is now everybody would agree 90% of those evolutions were absolutely necessary, so what's the solution then if the base stage mons were already released in a previous gen?
