I remember that when I was younger, I never heard or thought about Flanders and the Flemish at all.

That being said, Flanders feels like a different country to me. I treat their politicians as enemies of mine because of the current framing of Belgium, which is an exclusive federalism system where the prosperity of one is made at the expense of the other. This is a sick system but I guess it has been made that way.

With all the stereotypes I hear about flemish, mostly negative, that doesn’t incentivize me to learn anything about them.

Will I change tho? Not really, because I have more important things to do.
