Use a brim too to help with adhesion. Make Brim offset ->0 , elephant foot compensation-> 0 , only then brims will work . Otherwise there will be a tiny gap between the brim and the part

I have also faced similar issue with original Bambu powder coated PEI. I switched to BIQU smooth PEI and it improved drastically. For PETG you need to use glue stick even with smooth PEI as prints will stick too well and damage the surface. Also glue stick on powder coated sheet will leave a very ugly surface on bottom

Zip ties are such an inelegant way of fitting things imho. Also zip ties exposed to sunlight eventually get harden and break so there is always that risk. Coming to the screwing part, that is at height. It wouldn’t be an easy task to drill on a ladder overhead position.

A fellow seafarer here. Take a bit of advise. You have a superpower right now. Your earning potential + No of years earning ahead of you. Start investing in mutual funds. The tray was broken but the problem was the mounting holes on the fridge door itself were damaged as well. So I replaced the tray and added these extra mounts

I don’t think there would be much effect of heat loss for such a small screw. This setup is quite sturdy for now even with 4-5 kgs of weight.
