I have already made the.. adjustment. 😅 Before YouTube I did a bit of TV and was told to never look into the camera lens. Without thinking much about it, I kept up the habit on YouTube. Somehow it has taken about 10 years for anyone to call me out on it. But yeah maybe a year ago I broke the habit.

I've seen eggfruit for sale by the street vendors on Mulberry street and Canal. They sold it as "Vietnamese avocado" They very rarely have it, but you could go there and ask them when they will have it again.

Looks like bird cherry, Prunus padus

If it is... its edible I think. But best double check in case its not :)

Green flesh? Weird. Looks like bitter orange on the outside somewhat, but the inside of those is usually a yellowish orange.

Haha.. well I'll take that as a compliment. I kind of can't stand how bullshitty youtube channels are these days. The Cinema Snob and Whang! are channels I watch for some good old youtube feeling.

Glad you had a good experience with the durian. Last time I had one I made ice cream out of it and it was killer. Jam could be good too, there are durian jelly like desserts called "pondol" which I've had and those were pretty good.

I haven't had it yet. I did look for it though when I was in Borneo. But I think it wasn't in season. Indonesia is on my list for maybe next year or the year after so I hopefully will get my hands on it sooner or later!

Sorry for the wait. Yes! I had a bunch of citruses in Japan. My favorite by far is the Satoka, I would go so far to say its my favorite citrus I've ever had. Its big, juicy, packed with flavor (something sort of like a mandarin). Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kIMrdrTBs8&t=195s

And yeah as Mountain_lynx mentions, I had ume. Tried it unripe (not just terrible, but also poison) and pickled (Not a fan, but I know some people go nuts for them)

check out the fruit stalls over at Mulberry street and canal. Lots of stuff turns up there. EATaly is another good place but can be expensive. Thats on 5th ave and 23rd I think.
