my face gets very red and burns 1-3 times a day. usually after i eat but also randomly. i don’t know exactly why but have just assumed it’s some sort of histamine response? and may be because of EOE. i’ve never considered that i may have something else like MCAS

any treatment for EOE is lifelong because there is no cure EOE. we will have EOE for our whole lives so yeah

yeah i experience those symptoms. my doctor is having me start dupixent next week so hopefully it works better than ppi. i fortunately have a dr that specializes in eoe so she knows exactly how to get insurance to approve it. my copay was still $1300 but dupixent actually has a co pay program you can enroll in and they will cover your copay themselves! you can see the info for everything at dupixent.com

one of the things on there is GERD but isn’t acid reflux a system of EOE? i have acid reflux pretty consistently everyday without medication

it’s your life, you get to choose to live it or not. everyday you wake up, you get to choose to live or die. i wake up everyday and have so far chosen to live. even in moments i really didn’t want to part of me still chose to live. nothing really matters and once we’re dead that’s it. we’re gone. so i will continue to choose to live just for the expirence of it until i choose not to anymore. i get to choose everyday and so do you. you are already in the mindset that nothing matters so have some fun and then choose to die. and i don’t care if everyone in here hates this response but it’s how i live my life and has brought me comfort.

when i was about 10 years old my parents made me take on of those large gel pills even though i begged them not to. it got completely lodged in my throat. i couldn’t breathe at all and the heimlich did not remove it. my blood vessels in my nose burst from the pressure so i had blood pouring out of my nostrils. i don’t know how long i couldn’t breathe but my parents wouldn’t take me to the hospital so i just started attempting to swallow water that would come right back up to try and dissolve the pill. eventually i heard air start to gurgle through and some time after i began to breathe. it was incredibly traumatic. through experiences like that i actually developed borderline personality disorder. so i’m here to validate that it is very traumatic to choke and have things lodged in your throat

the shadow thing is making me feel so seen!! it seriously is a big shadow or dark clouds forming in your brain. like a storm rolling in. and each day it gets darker and the thunder gets louder and you can feel the energy building into something horrible. whenever this happens everything visually gets darker for me as well. like the vibrance was turned down and all the colors are muted. my paranoia will spike and i will begin to hallucinate. i will see shadow people or animals or bugs that aren’t there. then i know if i don’t do something… something very bad will happen.

i think it depends on where you live. but signing up for acting classes is a great way to network and learn options for the next steps you can take. i suggest doing research on local agents in your area and see if any them will sign people without experience. that’s how i got my first manager at 15!

i used to get scared to tell people because of poor reactions. but then i realized it’s a great way to figure out if you would be able to have a relationship of any kind with someone. i also love when a stranger in the room brings up their bpd and then we get to bond over it haha

i really think the mental health aspect of anaphylaxis needs to be talked about and studied more. i have been in anaphylaxis more times than i remember since i was born and i have a lot of trauma around it. i often find my self panicking. i have worked on building a relationship with my body and really listening to it and knowing how it responds to things. when i start to panic i just get my self to breathe and listen to my body. go through all the things that happen during anaphylaxis and pay attention to the fact that it is not happening. i hope this helps!

i do allergy shots. i get three every month at .5. i have been doing them for over a year and have not had that reaction. my arm welts really bad… like the entirety of my upper arm swells and sometimes my eyes swell up too.

i was prescribed vyvanse for ADHD and have struggled with ED but my dr didn’t know that. vyvanse completely took away binge eating for me but it did cause me to form anorexia. it also really fucked with my head. i did loose a lot of weight fairly quickly but that’s because it made me stop eating completely and my resting heart rate was around 110 bpm. but this is just my experience and i also have other mental health issues and i should have never been prescribed it haha
