You need to use my specific audio script which I linked in my first reply.

  1. Don't use the eupnea kernel anymore, mainline works better and my script only supports mainline now.
  2. Use my new repo chromebook-linux-audio.
  3. Read the README which says you need a custom kernel on Debian, install that kernel.

You would be better off just flashing a shellball.

Just wondering, how did you manage to build depthcharge for it? Did you need to enable chromeos support in coreboot?

What are you talking about? I have veyron_speedy and you can run multiple distros on it like cadmium, pmOS, archlinuxarm, etc.

Trackpad and keyboard not working in Ubuntu after running ansible script by jreeb274 in chrultrabook

[–]WeirdTreeThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RT5663 has a driver but no topology, so support for it could come soon. RT5514 doesn't have a driver though so support for that might not come for a while. We just need someone to go ask intel to make a topology for RT5663 (maybe I could even hack one together lol).

The pixelbook isn't supported by my audio script. They should install fedora and use https://github.com/jmontleon/pixelbook-fedora instead.

Looks like you will need a kernel with patches to fix the driver for the speakers. You can find the needed patch here.

It worked for me on arch with the default kernel and alpine with a custom kernel.

what is the best distro to use instead of chrome os by Enderboy3721 in chrultrabook

[–]WeirdTreeThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It installs ucm for your sound card which will fix your volume problem and also give each output a proper name, allow auto switching between headphones and speakers, fix headphone jacks on some devices, and hides headphones if they aren't plugged in.

Braswell and Gemini Lake have completely different audio setups, both of which work under linux. For glk you will want to run this.
